The sweet tea line was mentioned in a post below. Can anyone give the current position of the sweet tea line? I say current position because it has moved further south in recent years.

I think that is pretty accurate. Only adjustment would be to "carve out" some cities.

Outside of chain restaurants, you don't find it much outside the old Confederacy. I'm in Coastal Virginia and it's pretty normal to find it. Maryland, hit or miss. Past that, non-existent.

when i first came to clemson, from out of state, bunch of us went over to the varsity in sparty... choice of sweet or unsweetened... took sweet... holy ####, sugar water... they thought i was an alien when I asked for lemon slices..

Many like me only use a splash of sweet tea with the balance unsweet as we don't want to drink our calories. A full up sweet has a number of negative impacts on our health.

My dad ordered sweet tea in Richmond 25 years ago and the waitress said "Oh Honey, you're not in the South any more." Yeah, that Richmond.
