The SEC homers on this board will do some serious mental gymnastics to try and convince us that it was somehow a quality loss....We have just had it confirmed that in the SEC, quality losses are more important than another power 5 conferences wins

New Mexico State, San Jose State, Georgia Southern, App State, Jacksonville State, The Citadel, etc. are among the teams who have beaten "ye-ole-mighty-Sorry Excuse Conference" schools football teams!

Overrated and overblown - but what I call highlight heads - have been brainwashed through countless hours of "highlights and propaganda" into believing the SEC is the end all and be all of the sport.

Yes. The top schools have won National Titles more than other conferences teams. But, that is not indicative "of the entire conference's ability to play top-level football"!

The only reason Vandy is in the SEC is, that conference wants to be able to

No its because they are a private university and that means they do not have to disclose as much information as if every member was public. That's why all conferences have at least 1 private college.

Please explain? Schools have requirements, conferences don't, so not sure

what the conference itself can be hiding. Their laws are government as non-profits, schools as well if they are so and guided by state and federal disclosure laws. And schools like Grand Canyon athletics has a different standard, or at least nuances.

So what direct disclosures can conferences hide that they otherwise wouldn't?

Look at Bama’s body of work. Pretty crappy right up to the championship. Oh and UGAs two best pass catchers were hurt. They lost to Auburn. Hugh Freeze snatched defeat from the jaws of victory with that idiotic pass rush. That’s on him.

And why did they have a losing recordon the fieldvs the ACC?***

Historically, the SEC is very top heavy

it works for them because those top 3-4 teams are always pretty dominant, but the rest of the conference isn't that great historically speaking.

Isn't this the case for every conference ?***
