Last year a 6-4 South Carolina team beat a ranked Tennesse and Clemson to finish the season 8-4. Even though they lost to Notre Dame in the Gator Bowl to finish 8-5 it didn't matter. The South Carolina fan base enthusiasm went thru the roof because they had a winning season, beat their rival and made a bowl. Beamer got a new contract pushing his salary to 6.1mm and Booster were happy to pay.
When we win on Saturday and finish 8-4 after beating 2 ranked teams ND and UNC, questions will still swirl about player performance, plays calls, non-use of the portal etc... There will be no Head coach contract extensions/raises in this offseason. You might even see a position coach get replaced here and there...

I want to disagree with you but there is still a sizable portion of our fanbase that believes Beamer is a talented coach.

You guys are epitome of mediocrity. .509% all time win record, 1 conference championship, .400% bowl record, only 25 bowls all time in 130 year history...
So anytime you have more wins than losses its an amazing season.... so you are right, you cant disagree

Take out Spurrier's record and would be sub-.500 for sure. The great USC coach Spurrier, left the team in his final season (before the end of the season) when record was 2-4. Just a class act coach.

If you win Sat, you still have to win 28 more in a row just to draw even in a series that was hosted in your home stadium every year for the first 60+ years.
