It’s unreal how some of you try to claim every kid is an “under the radar steal”. Then some of you point to Hunter Renfrow. Then some of you just back the staff no matter what.

This kid may very well turn out to be a good player. He may even turn out to be elite but the chances are small. Yall can tell yourself the recruiting services are all about money and politics and blah blah blah.

Recruits like this would never get a Georgia offer… or Alabama… or Ohio St. That’s the level we were playing on just 3 short years ago. Yet here we are 3 years later with an 8-4 record… barely ranked inside the top 25 and playing in a bowl game that doesn’t matter whatsoever.

Yet Alabama/Georgia/Ohio St keep churning out the wins and top 5-10 rankings and playoff berths. Yall wonder why we have dropped off yet the answer is in your face… most of you just refuse to admit it bc Dabo and his staff can do no wrong in your eyes. Every choice they make is the right one and if anyone disagrees… it’s “coot coot coot”.

It’s very obvious why we’ve dropped off and this will continue. Going forward we are a 7-9 win team year in and year out. Hey if yall can claim this kid will be great then I can certainly claim we’re a 7-9 win program going forward.

Reading David Hoods post earlier about how Dabo isn’t going to play the “fill in the amount” game… well that’s fine. But don’t b*tch when we’re not ever making the playoffs or when we make it once in a while and we’re one and done.

I don’t like it any more than anyone else and I fully agree with those that think it’s ruining this great game we all love but the bottom line is this… that’s the way the game is being played today. You either got to get on board and play the game or you’re going to be left behind and in the dust very quickly. As long we continue to put culture ahead of doing what’s necessary… we will be a middle of the road barely inside the top 25 program.

Some of you will be ok with that but others like myself will not. Unfortunately for us… we don’t get to make those decisions… Dabo does. But if he continues to churn out 7-9 wins every year then why the h*ll are we paying him over 11 million a year? I’m sorry but that’s a terrible ROI when we could use that money to support other programs at the school if we’re not going to be serious about football.

They were literally 11-0 and one win away from the playoffs. They lost to Georgia what 42-40 in a semi final game just 1 year ago. You really think they’re not on Georgia and Alabamas level?

So what they haven’t won a title since 2014. They’re right there every year like we used to be. You lose all credibility by crying and whining and making excuses for why they beat our @ss in that Sugar Bowl when we had the #1 overall pick at QB for us. They played fewer games so they had an advantage? Gtfo of here with that BS.

You can keep trusting Dabo all you want but we’re on a steady decline over the last 3 years. Go ahead and point to that ACC title last year. That’s on the same level as a playoff berth or national title isn’t it?

No Dabo is not worth every penny he makes. Winning that last title was 5 years ago which might as well be a lifetime ago. College football has changed drastically since that last title. It’s no coincidence we have fell off since NIL and the transfer portal. Maybe it’s bc we refuse to use it.

It’s amazing to me we claim to have tried in the portal but couldn’t get not even 1 of those 3 we offered on campus for a visit. Go ahead and mention the kid in the car wreck. S*it happens but he still didn’t make the visit. I honestly believe Dabo just wants it to “appear” he’s trying to use the portal to shut everyone up. He doesn’t actually want to use it but he knows he can’t keep ignoring it bc the fans are getting louder every year we don’t. So he just wants the appearance of effort in the portal.

Again… the kid may turn out to be a star but the chances are small. It’s not about the recruiting services and stars bro. Look at the kids offers. Why doesn’t he have a Pitt offer? Maryland? Virginia? VT? Rutgers? WV? All those are mid tier to below average programs and the kid is right in their recruiting footprint yet… nothing from any of them. But you somehow think Dabo is just better at evaluating than any other coach on any of those staffs? Dabo is just that d@mn good huh?

Keep on with the blind loyalty while we continue to fall back into mediocrity or above average program while Ohio St keeps churning out 1st round picks and competing for playoff berths.

The recruiting services aren’t the be all end all but they’re pretty solid all things considered. This kid wasn’t even on the radar not just for the services but for any of the mediocre programs surrounding his location. Yet we think he’s good enough to be on school at Clemson. Just wow…

It’s fine to take a guy like this or even a couple every now and then if you miss on your top targets… but when 15-20 of these type of kids are on your roster taking up schollys… you’re not going to compete with or much less beat the Georgia’s/Alabamas/Ohio Sts of the world.

Watch what Georgia does to us to start next season. It isn’t going to be pretty. Then you and the rest of the cult will be right here on the board screaming and crying… “what the h*ll has happened to us”. These types of recruits are your answer.
