So, what was the cost

Have heard so much about cost of advertisement minutes during the super bowl. Just before half-time up pops a Founders CU ad. If you have been to coot baseball field in Columbia, you have heard of Founders, a small CU that started in Ft. Mill in the 50's and still only has one branch outside of SC (Charlotte). How could they justify that kind of money for a nationwide ad?

Those were local commercials. Not seen nationwide. Totally a different price structure.

I believe local channels are allotted some seconds/minutes every now and then

so that they can make a little money. I would assume that it's discounted significantly.

It wasn’t nationwide. There are a couple sections of the broadcast where the ads are local.

Founders was likely a local ad, the network carves out time for those and they don’t cost nearly as much as normal commercials.

I was surprised the Jesus He gets us company bought two commercials, seems like it would’ve been better for them to donate that money to churches or people in need.

I liked the ads and thought they were good use of money. Who knows, airing those two ads, besides saving people could go a long way of raising even more money than they spent to air them. As the old saying goes, “it pays to advertise”. They work!
