Which made it possible for cagle to come to the plate.

She has been struggling in the FSU series and in this game. It looked like she was on her way to another K but found a way to slap a single up the gut with two strikes to start the rally

In the bottom of the 7th as well. Hate when umps suddenly squeeze the zone in the last inning. I’ve seen it before at the WCWS

When a slaphitter is going poorly, they take a lot of undue criticism.

No way Miklesh was going to handle a power pitcher WITHOUT slapping it. Like you said, perfect time to get a square slap on a grooved pitch.
