AC/DC is about as lame as rock gets.

and just about every high school plays "For Those About to Rock" or "Thunderstruck" or both. I know Powdersville plays both and it's getting old. So, leave out AC/DC. Go with something newer like "Bat Country" or "Before I Forget". Heck if you want to go older, "Sweating Bullets" by Megadeth would be awesome before a game. Wolfmother's "Joker and the Thief" would fit as well.

I've always thought it would be cool to have someone change "for those about to rock" with "For those who RUB the Rock".

Probably nobody on this board will like this, but “Put On” by Young Jeezy and Kanye West is a classic hype song. It came out during my high school days and it did the trick before game time. I’m all about the classic rock, but if you mix it up now and then and put some bass in those speakers the players and crowd will go nuts. Just my 2 cents. Carry on.

Not a rap fan by any stretch, but I always thought when the D was on the field it would be cool to blast "shut em down" by Public enemy for aprox 10 sec before the ball is snapped
