Love Shipley's fire and passion and didn't realize he hasn't scored a touchdown yet. If that was what he was angry or frustrated about then I wish he could have held back on the emotional outburst. We all saw it. I don't/hope think P. Mafah would acted like Shipley did. Shipley has scored a lot of touchdowns for the Tigers and we need him to score a lot more. Maybe it was nothing and what we saw was nothing? Not passing judgment. Did anyone else see Klubnick sit down beside Randall and pat him on the leg in what looked like Cade was trying to get Randalls attention and Randall turned his head as if he was ignoring Cade? We get to see a lot of close up shots on TV and maybe things aren't what they appear. Hopefully this team will come together and start playing at their best soon. Be nice if we play our Best game next. 31 30 Clemson over the Noles.

1. I don't believe that that was why he was mad. I went back and listened to that thing he screeched like a banshee five times. He said "What are you getting mad at me for?" You're making a huge leap in logic to insist he was mad about not carrying the ball.

2. Why lie when it's so easy to prove you are lying? Shipley had not pushed 4 yards. Here are the last five plays of that drive. 1st and 10 at FAU 18 - Cade missed Beaux on a pass. 2nd and 10 at FAU 18 - Cade scrambles for 16 yards. 1st and goal at FAU 2 - Shipley runs for no gain. 2nd and goal at FAU 2 - Shipley runs for 1 yard (it was actually a half yard per the refs, but they don't record half yards on ESPN). 3rd and goal from the 1 - Cade for 1-yard touchdown. Shipley had not pushed for 4 yards, that's your head canon but is demonstrably false. He had gone for a half-yard in 2 rushes. He had his chance and couldn't get it done. Cade did.

3. You have no idea if he's mad because he doesn't have a rushing touchdown yet or how he feels about Mafah. You're making that up. If Mafah has better stats than him, it's because Mafah is a better running back with much better vision (again, I think Shipley has things Mafah can't do, so I personally like him, but anyone with experience in football can see who's the better pure back).

4. If he is mad because he wants better personal stats, then that is not a competitive nature. A competitive nature is one that wants the team to succeed. All the team. Someone who would screech at a coach (who was a million times better player than him) because of personal reasons and potentially put the team at a disadvantage (I don't agree with the sentiment that he telegraphed it was a sneak, but he did telegraph that it wasn't him) is no leader or competitive. They are a selfish, spoiled brat. If you're right, he doesn't bleed orange. He only bleeds for Shipley. And I don't think we've ever had that selfish of a back before in the Dabo era.

5. IF you had evidence he actually gives fire to teammates, then I would agree with you. It would still be right to sit his ### like they did last night because having fire is not the same as being disrespectful to coaches and his teammates. But there are players who might not be that good but make the team play better around them. Ben Boulware was a good example of that. Never had a chance to play in the pros due to talent deficiencies. But my favorite LB of all time because he was a true leader and everyone played harder when he was on the field (Skalski was of the same mold). Shipley is not. No one thinks Shipley is a leader outside of Shipley and his fanboys.

6. I think Shipley's presence has been overall good for Clemson. He's definitely a letdown for a 5 star from a physical ability standpoint, but he is an intense player who gives it his all. I'm not ready to throw the baby out with the bath water, but what he did last night was not great for Clemson. It went against all of our values as a program and jeopardized the team.
