Because they HAD TO get 3 running backs . The last RB they had we gave a concussion to and he ended up transferring. The dirtpeckers have lost around 18 players to the portal, so they have no choice but to keep offering second hand players.
Some teams use the portal to fill a gap here and there and some are having to use it in order to field a team. The coots are the latter

Whatever makes you feel better. The fact is that your recruiting has been steadily falling for the last few cycles. I'm not making that up, that's not my opinion. It's a fact. For the 23 class, and now the 24 class, we're closer in recruiting rankings than we've been in 10 years. Whether we're a couple of spots ahead or you're a couple of spots ahead, it's an immaterial gap compared to you guys being in the top 5 and us in the 20-25 range.

The fact that y'all want to just ignore portal additions when it comes to recruiting is wild, but OK. We'll just pretend that us adding Rattler and Wells was irrelevant. My guess is if you guys had a few 4 star transfers you'd be using the overall rankings too. lol
I said the gap is closing. Up until 23, Clem was at least 10 spots ahead in every year except 2017. Last year the gap was 5, this year looking like it will be less, especially if you factor in transfers.

what cycle? Cola isn't finishing next to Clemson without a net higher number of recruits taken 1 for 1 high school recruits. I don't care how much you "feel" we are down. Too, we've got practically a new offensive staff with successful coaches. Cola is busy trying to pretend a TE coach nobody wanted is running any meaningful plays. Get real.

Looks like QB AJ Swann frim Vandy going there. That likely takes them out of getting QB Maalik Murphy from Texas who will probably end up at Duke, or maybe Baylor.

As bad as we were playing in that part of the year we gave FSU all they wanted. Not having a moral victory but it’s not like fsu were world beaters. And I’m sure usc will be much much worse

They have no choice. Their culture is sketchy so they have have a bunch of guys coming in and leaving every year. It’s a new mix of players ever so the continuity and culture is nonexistent. A little portal activity is probably required to be successful but too much is a killer.

Looking over the list it appears they are only going sideways on talent if not down. The portal is good if you need two or three but when you replace the whole team it can be disastrous. Think of all the players that will have to learn their schemes..
