Reading a newsletter last night , I saw where 4 men in my Vietnam unit in 1970 have died since the last newsletter. Among those was the medic for my platoon who I knew very well, George Ambrose , who left behind a wife,3 children, and 5 grandchildren- only 73 years old- all 4 guys were younger than I am. Life is so fleeting so enjoy every moment

Agreed Clover... at 61, I have learned to really appreciate my family and friends. My wife and I have a 5 couple trip to Greece lined up for June as well as a July Hilton Head trip with a different group of 6 couples. I have 2 golfing weekends and a fishing weekend with my guy buddies lined up in April. I've already lost a couple of good friends, so I plan to see all the others as much as possible. Never take a friend for granted as you get older.

My Brother-in-law was a POW in Viet Nam. He has PTSD bad. However My Sister is in the Final stage of COPD and He takes care of Her 24 hours a day. My Prayers go out to all of these Viet Nam veterans and their Families. Sometimes I think You and Your Comrades have been forgotten. Thank You and all of these people for Your Service. You and all the others are always in my prayers!

I’ve said it many times on t net…. Life is much to great to fill your time with hatred!
Hate should never be a part of your everyday life …… it is ok not to love the gamecocks however!

My wife has a rare congenital lung disease. We have almost lost her twice. The disease is not the result of any poor life choices, just luck of the draw. She is in great shape, but is always vulnerable to a small virus leading to catastrophic consequences. We just enjoy each day and really do not project out that far. We certainly will have stressful days, but we really try to look for those silver linings as much as possible.

Thanks for your heroic service in an unappreciated war. Vietnam Vets deserve more appreciation than you get.

Hoping the TD was a slip.
Otherwise, deserves a ban. Simple.

Thank you clover65® for your service, and I am truly sorry for the loss of you brothers.
I hope not to offend-as a history buff and grateful patriot, would you be able to share the newsletter clip?
I myself did not have the privilege of serving, but am forever indebted and respectful of those who did.
Thank you for your service.

It will always be really tough hearing of the lost of friends that you were in a life or death battle right beside you, prayers for you and your brothers at war Clover.
Vietnam was a war that our leaders were scared to win, and constantly lying to us about why we were dying in that war.
