Tony Romo or Troy Aikman?

As an analyst, who do you like more? I've been a long time Aikman fan and think his style fits better with Jim Nance. Good insights, credible and balanced. I do like Romo and like how he often gives spot on insight into what is developing or what is likely coming up based on the situation.

I agree. Romo is as good announcing as he was as a player which isnt saying much. Awful at both

He gets way too much crap because of how he lost a couple of playoff games.
The Cowboys organization in general seems to be a bigger problem than the QBs, but the QBs always take an oversized share of the blame when things go wrong.

Wow, different strokes for different folks I guess. Aikman has the personality of a stapler. I prefer Romo. At the end of the day, it's more about the guy next to Aikman. Joe Buck is the worst.

above your typical football announcer. They have both played the game at a high level, and both can and do give insights that non-players just can't see.
And as far as the comment about Aikman (or Romo, for that matter) being a Dallas homer, I have never seen that in their announcing. If anything, it seems to me they try to go out of their way NOT to be. The only exception is when you get Aikman talking about Jimmy Johnson, it is obvious there is a TON of mutual respect and admiration there, and rightly so.
If EYE had to give an announcer critique, it would be on Joe Buck. He seems to me to be just like wallpaper, you don't really know he is there. If he were not related to the late Jack Buck, I very much doubt he would have advanced very far in the industry. But, Aikman loves him, so his future is assured.

Both are good, but I would give the nod to Romo, because I love his situational pre snap analysis. I can't think of any current announcer who does the presnap better.

Well, since Romo works with Nance at CBS, I guess their style is best. I prefer Chris Collingsworth.

I find it difficult to listen to Romo. Makes the game hard to watch.
I like Troy. Prefer a commentator who is little laid back and doesn’t over talk.

Tony Romo is a wild card, dating movie stars and so on. Reminds me of Dandy Don Meredith, another Cowboys' QB. I like to watch a game drinking a beer and listening to him.
