Question for HVAC experts

I just bopugh a Nest Learning Thermostat. While installing it I got an error message saying my thermostat wires are missing C wire. Nest sent me a Power Connector kit to solve this problem. I went to install the kit to my outside HVAC unit and there is no Termonal Block on the outside unit. I have a Heil Model PGS448115KGPOE1

How many colored wires do you have at your thermostat? Do you have any that aren’t being used?

Ok where the thermostat wire goes into the unit there should be a brown wire in that compartment that isn’t connected to the thermostat wire. Take one of you spare thermostat wire colors (blue, black or brown)and connect it to that brown unit wire. Then go inside and connect that (blue, black, or brown) wire to the C terminal on the thermostat and you’ll be good to go.

Attached are pics of outside unit. Can you identify which brown wire in the unit to connect to?

Ok in the last picture take the wire nut off of that brown wire and connect it to the black thermostat wire. Then go inside to the thermostat and connect the black wire to the C terminal.

Brad Brownell: Only Larry freaking Shyatt has a WORSE overall winning percentage among Clemson basketball coaches since 1975. Let that sink in. It's Larry Shyatt & then Brad Brownell.

You are correct in everything you have said. However, the black thermostat wires inside the air handler, one going to the outdoor unit and the other to the thermostat, will most likely need to be connected together.

Get a Sensi. Easier to install and easy to operate.

Not a paid promotion. I have a second home and use this in both to monitor and adjust when out of town. You just need wifi to operate.

I use the ST55U at both.
