My wife tested positive for covid today about 5 days after a colleague at her work did. We are both seniors and diabetic. We've had all the shots and boosters and initially it seems mild for her but I am concerned given the underlying health issue with her. So if you would remember us in prayer it would be appreciated

DONE and done. My wife and I are 70+, and we had covid this winter, I'm 4 shots a day diabetic, and wife has COPD, and we made it through covid pretty easy, but we have had the original dual shot Pfizer vaccine, and two of the boosters!!! Good luck to your wife!!!

Praying you'll both get through this with only minimal symptoms. Also based on my experience, both of you please keep tabs on your blood pressure over the next few months. There may or may not be a relationship but my blood pressure went up and stayed up a couple of weeks after my second covid bout. Just be aware!

Me and my father both had blood pressure issues.
Ty for the post because its hard to correlate when it come to medical conditions. Google will have people thinking they have some horrible rare disease.

I've had it twice. The last time it was very mild. All indications are the latest variations of COVID may be more contageous, but are less harmful. I'm a senior as well, but not diabetic. Praying her symptoms and duration will be as light as my second bout.

Everyone in the house had it over a 3 month spread.
Myself and father 75 - 2 open heart surgeries, stints, etc. (We both take a statin so we can't use the antiviral they prescribe)
Wife got some variation 2 months later.
Disgusting virus. Prayers for the light to shine on you and her and for yalls health.

but did have to rest & sleep more hours 1st day or two & with naps but then it was mild coughing, nasal & chest congestion which lasted a week or more.
We took our oxygen & pulse regularly with a finger monitor and took thermometer temperatures a lot (which fluctuated from 101.8 to 96 and back up to early 100's and then back down below normal 98.6 until it leveled out in a week).
Took about 10-14 days to get back close to normal but still got things done around house ok after 1st 2-3 days.
Good luck 74Tiger & bride and drink lots of fluids and rest~

Same here with the cough, that cough lasted with me for a couple of months, but it has cleared out and everything is fine now, but as far as being really sick, that never happen with me or my wife. Now we did take the meds that Dr prescribed for when you get covid, and I stopped taking those about halfway through the scrip bc they caused everything to taste bad!!!

that is like Forest Gump's box of chocolates, it is Covid. I don't think any two people react to it in exactly the same way. For some, like my youngest son, it is a two day annoyance. For others, it can, and has proven fatal. May your wife and any other family members who catch it have only the mildest of cases, and get back to normal quickly.
ps,
I have all the same underlying issues you spoke of, and, although it took me 10 days, I did finally kick it, with the help of the proper meds. Here's hoping it doesn't take your wife nearly that long to recover completely.
