This is what he says about TCU:

4. TCU. Winning close games in conference is something the committee likes to see, especially when those wins are against ranked teams, four in a row, playing behind college football's third-ranked total offense and scoring unit.

and in the same article criticizes Clemson for it's close wins.

This statement sums up the the media perception in a nutshell. We beat 3 ranked teams and get NO credit while they win 2 close games in conference and it is a badge of honor.

Yeah - that was baffling.

Ironically, the funny thing is that for Clemson to go behind 14 points, we hads to give up 3 turnovers. For TCU to do it, they are turnover free. They needed a +2 margin to claw their way back.

It means other teams are outplaying TCU vs us kneecapping ourselves in ONE game, TCU had done it twice.

I expect TCU to get wrecked at WVU. WVU is 3-4 but they have had more road games than home games this far.

Can hardly be repeated with a straight face.
Oklahoma was one of those.
I suppose Kansas was ranked at the time.
But where are they now?
I get that one of the reasons those teams are I ranked is because TCU (and others) beat them.
But it’s also true that 2 of those teams are out of the top 25 by a long shot today.
Will be interesting to see how they selectively use such ‘facts’ down the stretch.

we were 6th in the AP poll. The first CFP rankings came out and we were 1st. I am not saying we will be first this year but the committee has proven they do not care about the other polls or pundits. If things progress how I expect and would not be surprised if we are 3rd.
