I commend the optimistic thinking but realistically the spring game showed no improvement in Cade. He still plays like a deer in the headlights with poor decision making a s pocket presence. Pearman showed want the offense should look like with proper QB play and execution. Not saying Pearman should start but after last season and the spring game it's rather obvious Cade should be pulled quick if he's not getting the job done. Unless Cade is divinely gifted with some enhanced skills between now and August 31st I don't see him putting up big #'s against UGA. I hope the defense can keep it close and get a turnover or 2, special teams can make a few plays, the offense doesn't blow it and the Tigers can pull out a close 21 - 17 victory.

Yall… we all need to come to terms with the fact that we are going to get pasted and it’s not going to be pretty.

It doesn’t mean we can’t get better over the course of the season and make the playoffs or even challenge for the national championship but Georgia has proven the past couple of years in these big time openers that they don’t just come to play they come to embarrass you and that’s exactly what they’re going to do to us.

Our defense is legit but game 1 obviously they’ll be nowhere near a finished product and they’re not going to do much to stop Georgia either.

I keep reading these threads about the Georgia game and it seems most all are banking on the defense keeping us in the game and giving us a chance but I honestly don’t believe they stand much of a chance of slowing Georgia down.

Georgia blasted Oregon a couple years ago in the dome in the opener 49-3 but Oregon still went on to have an outstanding season. They were just overmatched against the monster that is Georgia.

Kirby will have them ready to prove a point and sadly we will be the sacrificial lamb but in the long run it will make us better.

Please don’t set yourself up for a huge disappointment. I’m sure people are going to come back in response with their condescending remarks and blah blah blah but I’m fully prepared for what’s coming. Also please save me the “well why even play the game” type comments. I’m entitled to my opinion just like the rest of you.

If you don’t like my response then ignore or block me or whatever.

It will be something similar to what happened to Oregon but it will make us better and stronger in the long run. Any given Saturday and all that but just be honest with yourself about what’s coming. We are no match for them in game 1. Maybe come playoff time if we see them again it will be different but not game 1.

48-7/ 49-10/ 52-13… It will be something like that and we will never be in the game from the opening kickoff.
