for a coupla 3-4 years now. This one is even made with Clemson white oak. I did put the tip of it on the benchgrinder to sharpen it up some, but works like a champ now.

I was watching some of the Below Deck show last night

and the chef did not have a oyster knife and was struggling with regular knives to open the oysters which obviously did not go well
the guests complained about bits of shell in the shucked oysters and the dinner bombed
moral of show, if you are chef on a boat, bring your own knives including an oyster knife

Also, that would make a good prank gift for the Mrs. She sees that Tiffany blue color and gasps. Then she realizes you just got her a tool so she can shuck oysters for you lol.

with any oyster knife being good enough for the job at hand. I feel like I've used a butter knife in a pinch and done okay. But I don't use any of the tools to eat crab either. I'm like a seafood savant or something.

Bought mine downtown Aiken at a specialty kitchen store, so couldn't find a picture of it online. Seems like mine has a little bit more of a curved handle. Sharp point and super strong blade. This one works well.
