On the Hunt for 308

Title created to deliberately stir up those that hate rifles, venison, spending time in nature, and the cultivation of positive father-son relationships.
Anyway, by Monday there will likely be a new master of the Long Ball.
The article below may be Germans. However, with 3 home games remaining, the Braves are sitting at 304 deep shots. This leaves them only 4 dingers short of setting the all-time mark for homeruns by a team. With the way they are swinging the bats this year, it might be a great time to get in the car and be in the ballpark during one of those last 2 games - if you are into that sort of thing.
Either way, this has been a season for the ages for the Braves.

Amen to rifles, deer hunting, spending time in the woods and father/sons making memories while hunting.

In case some of you are unaware, Clemson's own Spencer Strider who leads MLB in Wins and Strikeouts, will be on the mound on Saturday as he attempts to enter the 20-win club.
Earlier in the season, I had prognosticated that he would eclipse 300 K's. A few outings where he proved to us that he is indeed a mortal prevented him from entering the 300 K club this season, but the young gun will be there in the next couple years for sure.
D@## Proud of this particular Tiger.
If you don't have tickets to the game against the 'Cuse, or you wanted to stay local, Saturday's matchup would be a great opportunity for a day at the ballpark.

Do people actually watch baseball? On purpose? Strange.
I don’t…that’s why I’m perusing the “football” bored. Sigh.

Some are able to enjoy both. It's not every year that your favorite team is making history - therefore the shameless plug.

Football is the reason I watch Baseball!
When I was a kid it was all about Football and Basketball.
I was going to be a cross between #### Butkus and Dr J. (ah a Kid can dream eh?)
Only played little league baseball one year. It was just too slow for me to play - especially when my parents said I could only play 2 sports because they were not doing the parental taxi year round. I stuck with Football and Basketball.
While in HS, summer two a days lasted well over 3 weeks. Exhausting and hot so in between morning and evening practice I did my best to lay around and rest. Cable was just getting cranked up here in the upstate so I watched WGN and WTBS because they did not show soap operas.
The Cubs played everyday and I watched. It was relaxing to sit there and have something entertaining to watch that was a sport.
I remember seeing Dave Kingman hit a homer that just kept bouncing down the road in Chicago.....
Now all these years later, my own son is a baseballer. I watch a LOT of baseball. Its a great compliment to waiting for College Football and then having the playoffs through the fall between Saturday games.
Go Braves!!!

Bigtime deer problem for SC farmers this year. Need to heavily cull the doe population.

I have 2 .308s. M1A Scout and FAL, though I prefer my .450BM for putting meat on the table. There's no tracking when THAT sledgehammer hits. The meat's exactly where you saw it last.
