the way, reportedly. I would rather pull out as independent, yet affiliated for strengthening. I would love to have NBC give us a deal like Notre Dame is looking at. Why can we not form an alliance with Notre Dame and these other schools that are struggling. Name some teams that you wouldn't mine playing regularly in an alliance

Seemingly! Also, all the talk about ACC bailing ND out during Covid, they would not have joined ACC football if the ACC hadn’t extended that offer.

Sitting out one year of a moderate chance of CFP vs. giving up the mother load of TV contract $$$.

Not happening, IMO!

A good lawyer should be able to spin this on the GOR. Our “Partial” member bulks up on cash while we are stuck with not even a possible negotiation. Get me a jury of peers and I’ll have Clemson out of the GOR in an hour!

If we were ever to be independent. I'd like for some of our permanent games to be FSU, UGA, Auburn, and UNC. Keeps the strength of schedule firm and contains classic rivalrys. Would it ever happen? No, but I can dream.
