Not impressed with the Riley Air Raid offense. It

was fun to watch the Chad Morris offense. We do have some talent on offense. Why run up the middle when everyone’s defense gathers there. When we started running outside we got 8-10 yards at a time until we decided to quit doing it.

Watching TCU last year I was ecstatic to get Riley. No way in hell this is his offense.

I saw Chad Morris do so much more with a lot less talented offense.

If you are correct, I expect CGR to move to another OC job immediately after the season. If he is back next year, your theory is full of hot air

Watching TCU's offense last year although they did run it up the middle a fair bit, alot of there routes look more precise pre determined the tcu radio announcer used the term "Dugans floats it out to a wide open receiver" alot. Go back and look at alot of Dugans passes to there big receiver Johnson and it was well scripted float passes of about 30-40 yards most of cades long passes are rocket drew brees style.

Riley is a great hire. Let me repeat, a GREAT hire. Offense this year presents much more opportunity that the elementary stuff we have been running in last few years...
A few points to ponder:
Its Year 1 & statistically doing better...
We have inexperience at the QB & WR positions. And a talent gap in the WR room. We don't have elite skill in either the WR and RB rooms---not what we've had in the past....This SHOULD change in upcoming class with RB and WR guys coming in. But again, there have been gaps and roster management issues that have hindered us here.....
OL is not where it needs to be here. Need a bigger room; have had some bad luck here too....
Riley does not have 100% control of playcalling.....

What makes everyone thin k that Riley is not in control of offense??? This offense looks a lot different to me…. Sure HC can always override, but I see a lot of difference in formation etc…. Long passing plays need good blocking and decisive pass throwing, in anticipation…. Cade is still learning,,, i felt there was plenty of plays where he had more time but couldn’t find the open guy, or waited too long… that will come with experience and confidence. This offense is new and different…..

I see Dabo frantically looking at his play sheet, then speaking quickly into his mic.
It sure looks to me like he is calling plays. I wish he'd let the expert do his job!

This is the Clemson offense. Dabo said so in the pregame talk with ESPN in the first game against Duke.This isn't GR's offense.
