Brownell's gotta be coming back.

Neff said at the beginning Brownell needed to "have a really, really good year." I think this must qualify as that. Even if they miss the tourney, hard to imagine a scenario where they vote to adios him out of his contract.
Today will reveal plenty. But either way, I think Neff's got to be thinking of standing pat with him for at least another year to see if he can build something while the Dukes and UNCs are struggling to regain their footing.

Then just forfeit the rest of the season if making the tourney doesn’t matter.
CLEMSON BASKETBALL HAS TO BE BETTER! SORRY, BROWNLEE SUPPORTERS. IF HE IS SUCH A “GOOD” COACH, MAKE THE TOURNEY THIS YEAR!!!

It's more of an observation than a fanboy stance

to say he's probably got another year thanks to this season's performance. It's no different than saying Dabo's worth keeping around for winning the ACC and yet missing the CFP - it's just an observation.
Brownell's not untouchable by any means, given his long, somewhat fruitless, run. But they've shown plenty of promise this season, going from a preseason toad to a late-season prince. Even if they miss the tourney.
I think if they win today, Brad's future is most definitely secure for another 14 months.

Brownell isn't holding the same cards as Swinney. Doesn't have the same cred.
But ... Brownell's not the third-highest-paid coach in BBall, like Swinney is in football. So we're adjusting for windage in terms of expectations.
And sure as sunrise, I bet if Swinney misses the CFP again next year, the conversation will shift dramatically as to his future.
If he makes it, he'll get another year to breath freely.
That's what I"m suggesting is going on with Brownell - another year to breath freely given this year's performance, which certainly has exceeded everyone's expectations.

More foolish drivel. Again, this is what Dabo was talking about - you suck the joy out of life. You are to be pitied for having such a warped approach to life. Work on your attitude for the next 6 months, so that you can learn to enjoy life. At that point, perhaps your comments will be pertinent. For now, you simply expose your ignorance and chronic unhappiness, about a subject for which you lack insight. Another day, another idiot on Tnet.

We kept the story behind around four almost 13 years

Keeping him one more year won’t really make things worse. Still just make things the same. So we either except that he can’t get the job done and keep him or we try to improve by making a change

Everyone knows it’s how you finish a year NOT how you start. We had a good start, but if he doesn’t finish strong, gets bumped in first game of ACCT and misses the NCAAs then I’ll volunteer to pack his bags

If Neff can stomach the past three games and get something

positive out of today’s embarrassment, then maybe Neff was the wrong hire as AD. There is no reason this team should not have pulled out of this rut by now. Good teams and coaches overcome adversity quickly. Shouldn’t take three terrible losses to right the ship. At this rate, don’t look past a struggling FSU next week. . .this remaining stretch could get ugly.
