This team feels like the 1980 team that went 6-5 and ran the table next season

I vividly remember that year. We had lost 2 straight going in to the South Carolina game and Danny Ford's job was on the line. The the famous premiere of the Orange Pants happened, and Clemson put a beatdown on the dirt peckers finishing up 6-5 with a very young team that would go on to winning the national title the following year.
This feels a little bit like that 1980 team. A lot of young talent starting to come into solid players.
This team could still win 9 games and would be a great springboard going into next year.

Unfortunately I do not see that happening. We are going to lose ALLOT of talent on the defensive side of the ball this year with seniors and early NFL departures.

Unfortunately I do not see that happening. We are going to lose ALLOT of talent on the defensive side of the ball this year with seniors and early NFL departures.
We are returning ALOT of young talent on defense as well. Honestly the young guys on the line have performed the best. We will really miss Trotter if he leaves.

You're not wrong...we're losing some super seniors and a couple NFL picks...but we have a great nucleus of talent:
DL - Peter Woods, TJ Parker, Capehart, Tre Williams, Page
LB - Woodaz, McCloud
DB - Barnes, Terrell, Griffin, Lewis
Technically can come back - Mukuba, Mickens
They gone: Carter, Trotter, Wiggins
Yet to be seen/New Recruits that could be impactful: Vic Burley, Sammy Brown
Biggest thing is going to be some help/depth at DE and LB -- portal players maybe?

Didn't UGA turn it over like 8 times in that game. Yes, a great game. Go Tigers, I hate both carolina teams, crush them both. worry about next year next year.
