How good do you think we will be?
It’s very promising to see the way we got better after that awful performance against NC State. There was progression.
I think that Georgia opener will be a huge opportunity for this program. I remember when fans loved simply beating great teams like this and proving that we belonged in the top category.
I will also say that I am very uncertain about Cade. We won today, and he definitely made huge plays, but he still is reckless with the ball. But maybe he just needs elite playmakers around him.
I am confident in our running game with even more development next year. And I am confident about our receivers with adding some good ones.
You know the defense will be good enough to get us anywhere we want.
Our success heavily relies on Cade’s effort over the off-season to learn and get quicker with reads, and for the O-Line to tighten up hopefully with Matt Luke.
If that line isn’t securing Cade, I just think he will continue with mistakes because he just can’t feel confident to stay in there.

And yeah we do, but I’m not going to talk as if anything will change. Cade is the guy. He is mistake prone, and without a good O-line, I don’t really think there’s a chance of playoffs or any of those aspirations.
Either the line gets better or Cade needs to miraculously get quicker with reads and get the ball out before he’s sacked.
You tell me which is more likely to happen. Line getting better.
But regardless, I think we should start transitioning to looking for portal QBs. It seems like the one position Dabo will keep secured even if he does begin to look into the portal more and more. But I agree with what he’s doing.
There’s some urgency in this program. We’ve got to get back to consistency. Not just wins but actual offensive performance. So I just believe we need to be more active with changes.

I think we take a L to Georgia but keep it close if we avoid pick sixes or scoop and scores. We probably beat Lose one ACC game ( FSU,NCS or maybe slip up to someone we shouldn’t) but10-2 to end regular season. Beat FSU for ACCChampion and get a playoff bye.. hopefully grow a lot during the year because we need major improvement to beat a legit top 10 even though we should had beat FSU at full strength that was in the Valley

I was going to say we end up like this year until I looked at our schedule. 10-2 is fairly realistic as we will be favored in every game most likely outside of UGA. Look out for App State the 2nd game of the year. This will be one of our top 4 toughest opponents.
The question will be are we really good enough to make some noise in the playoffs. There has to me some great improvement at the QB and Oline positions for this to happen.
Honestly with a QB that sees the field better, I feel like we could walk into next year with the WR TE corp we have and be successful. So with additions this group can be good if Cade matures.

I agree with everything. I think you’re spot on about App State too. They’ve been a good, rising football program recently.
And as far as the record goes, it’s not like having a bad line will only cost us a game or so. If Clemson does not improve on the O-Line, Cade will not be able to gain confidence and the “it” factor. He will continue to make mistakes. Sorry Cade, but it’s a similar situation to DJ.
If our o-line is the same, it will cost us multiple games, not just one. This is why it’s so hard for me to predict a record.
I completely think this roster next year with key additions is a team good enough for a 12-team playoff, but it’s the line.

We need Cade to take a huge step forward.
Now let us not forget Tahj Boyd’s career. He did not resemble anything close to the QB he became. Maybe we need Morris helping with the QB’s. Big steps can be taken.

I see a 9-3 or perhaps 10-2 regular season.
I think we are capable of making the playoffs, since it will be expanded to 12 teams.
I don’t see us being a top 5 team and contending for a national championship next year, for several reasons:
1. Cade Klubnik, while good, isn’t the elite QB needed to consistently put up 35-40 points, especially against good competition.
2. Our offensive line will likely continue to hold us back next year.
3. Our lack of elite wide receivers will hold us back.
4. I’m still not sold on Goodwin as DC.

I agree with all except for Goodwin.
How do you not understand the success Goodwin has been able to have in his first 2 years as a DC.
Finished as a top-10 defense (#8 ahead of UGA). And we looked tremendous. Remember there aren’t many Brent Venables type coaches that will succeed like he did at Clemson.
Goodwin has shown he can make the needed adjustments throughout the season. Our defense is good enough to make a playoff.
