college football program but seems it has started an avalanche that will not stop!
If Clemson had lost to a top 10 team rather than (can we say lowly Duke; only from their reputation of yrs ago) would all hale be breaking over the proud & highly successful program?

Well, actually there is. Everyone has their opinions but facts are facts. Our recruiting the last 3-4 years has crashed. They've tanked. The ONLY reason our composite 247 ratings have been decent is because of the defensive recruiting we've had.
Don't get me wrong, defense wins championships. But the last 4 years, we've gotten soft and consistently battling holes in one or two position groups. Yes, even the last year cbv was here. Only because he's so good, he cobled together game schemes to get us into the playoffs.
Since cbv, we've had some of the highest rated D recruiting in Dabo's era. So you tell me, why are they not performing? Is it all bad luck, or bad eval?
Yeah, our offense hasn't been good. Namely due to misses and schemes. Or we thought. Really dig into the facts. Our offense recruiting has been average. We've had 5* qbs not pan out. We've had our best ol (rated OL) recruiting in Dabo era... yet those 4 and 5 * guys aren't sniffing the field.
So yes, I'd say we've been on an avalanche. The ONLY thing that has kept us relevant is a horrendous conference and week in and week out cupcakes.

These kind of losses happen to all programs! It’s just our time. Think Pitt, Syracuse, Wake Forest and NC State. That’s just our untimely regular season. In bowls think, West Virginia, Kentucky and California. Now….what we do from this point on determines what kind of team we have and what kind of season they want. We’re going to find some like #12 at DE or maybe a freshman receiver that will help pick this team up. It’s going to be fun watching it unfold!!

We spend 85 million on the football building and recent improvements to it. We spend 6 million on a paring lot and tiger walk. We have bumped up the coaches salary to $11 million dollars per year. As we did each of the above items our TEAM has deteriorated. The program has gone down hill and we waste money. The PARTY is over hope we enjoyed it. We will not be a conference champship or a decent Bowl game.
Attendance and donations will begin to drop. The death spiral has begun. SO SAD!!!!
