Probably doesn't change anything. The schools with the most $$$$ will benefit the most. Ohio State loves the idea.

What are these schools going to do for non athletes. Many of these kids contribute to Clemson in ways the university financially benefits from. My kids are out of college. Thank you Lord , I sincerely mean it. As a single father with an ex who contributed nothing it angers to see these enabled spoiled athletes continue to ask for more and more $$$. They can keep their jerseys and anything related to NIL. I am not going to fund their lavish lifestyle during and after college.

I know some parents don’t care because they have the prime parking spots, big screen TV’s with a satellite dish and more. Many of the ones I know are S.C. State legislators.

IMO schools should do away with athletic scholarships all together and let these kids pay their own #### way. Especially with all these NIL and play for pay opportunities. Many of these kids are enabled in HS, then college and some in the NFL.

Why don’t we just kiss their a$$ as they run down the hill. Without the paying students, state funding, fans, IPTAY there would be no football team.

I am sick of NIL, the TP, some of these whining pampered athletes who transfer from school to school for $$$$. Take a kid like Arch Manning why does he need a scholarship or a NIL deal ? Or coaches kids. I am sure BV and Dabo and their staffs can pay their kids own tuition. Kids who are making a million dollars or more in NIL money can do the same. Pay their own way.

Just think some of that money could really help kids who want to go to college but cannot afford it.

I hope the next big blow up with colleges and universities are the parents who are going to or who are having to pay their kids college tuition for the next 4 or 5 years at about $30K to $40K a year.

As soon as the school pays it will have title IX implications.

Why should a football player get paid when a women's rowing team member isn't?

Because the "football player" is bringing in the school revenue to PAY for the Rowing Team scholarships and expenses.

Which sport pays it's own way and/or provides revenue to support all the other sports besides football and occasionally MBB?

Since when is listening to the NCAA a good idea? Maybe they should enforce bylaws before they make more. The same teams that have always paid players are going to pay them in addition to whatever the college pays them.
