I guess Coach Dandy Don got his wish about PJ

Over a hot mic during one of the early breaks he said “PJs definitely not gonna get 20 points tonight” and almost sounded happy about it. PJ ended with 17 so I’m sure Don was the happiest guy there.
Weird to have an announcer making negative comments about our best player.

If so, I understand why you love Dabo so much. He pushed for you to get the Clemson play-by-play job despite there being plenty of candidates who were more qualified. You’re being loyal, and I get it.

Because he is positive about Clemson sports. He does not hate on teams after victory. He leaves that up the Fringe.

Since this seems to have sailed over your head - I was making fun of you. Not Munson, not Brownell, and not Clemson. I have sat like 10 feet away from you at Littlejohn more than once. We have mutual friends. And while they all say you’re a good dude IRL - they also say you’re an insufferable blowhard when it comes to Clemson sports.

I am no fan of Munson. I think he is a good guy but not a great announcer. Would have preferred Philpott or Yanity both of whom were interested in the position. Having said that, this comment was a not issue. He was simply making an observation so a big nothing burger which serves as fodder for the bored.

It was a long way down the list of offenses from him but with how terrible he is at his job, I felt like it was worth pointing out. I do my best to avoid any of his commentary but had to be in the car during this game so I tuned in.

That comment is a non-issue for me, but Munson has to be the worst PBP announcer in the power 5. I mean he makes Todd Ellis sound like Larry Munson. The entire football broadcast is amateur. No real postgame interviews, the constant "HASH" comment, the Dabo worship, the list goes on. There is so much room for improvement.

Lay off Munson losers. None of y'all could do what he does. Asheville 9:30 p.m. Friday, Clemson Noon Saturday, Asheville 3 p.m. Sunday. I think he does a great job for one of the most hateful fan bases in America. You people make Eagles fans look like a child's birthday party.

Cobb, we get it. You sit down on the court and you are friends with the coaches, radio team, etc. But reality is that our radio broadcast is horrible and has been since Jim Phillips. Jim was a legend, but the drop-off from Jim to Pete to Don couldn't be more drastic.
