20-12 / 10-10 in the ACC / 1-and-done in the ACCT to a lower seed. I'm not sure that's a lock. I think we would start to see arguments that somebody like Cuse, Pitt, or State deserve to get in ahead of us if they finish strong, and I'm not convinced the ACC would get 6 teams given the current narratives.

That. 1 more win makes us a 9 seed. 2 more wins Would make us an 8 seed, 3 more a 7 seed, 4 more a 6, 5 more a 5, BUT 6 more and ACC Champs, prollly a 3 seed.

This team has key guys struggling to make solid starts on a Tuesday after a Saturday game with injuries and fatigue. I would not look for a conference tournament run having to play two or three days in a row. Now the NCAAs give you rest days.

Def won’t disagree with you but that’s why the top 4 is so important bc anybody we play will have played either one or two days games right before our game which gives us a slight advantage. And in the tourney atmosphere is like to think the normal grind of the season is gone and these games are a little easier to rebound from.

You don’t have to be so desperate to try and convince us. We know we’re a tournament team by now. The run is all that matters. Early acct exit would be disastrous for seeding and momentum. Playing really well, I could see a possible 4 seed.

Yes, he will likely get a contract extension too. Perhaps a raise. Much to my disappointment. And that has zero to do with our players or record. I really just didn't
like the way he and Neff handled last year and their desperate attempt to convince fans we were a tournament team. I thought that whole Duke fiasco over officiating was embarrassing. Whatever may or may not have been done, should have remained private. He's consistently given excuses over the years and come across desperate. He's taken it a step further this year by jumping on the b12. It really comes across as a desperate attempt to keep his job... or at least it does to me.
I'm loving this run. Everything I predicted in November about this team, and players accomplishments have come to fruition. I had a few argue and say I was dreaming but there's one goal I predicted that hasn't been reached. Winning the acc. We have as good a chance this year as we've ever had. Good team and the big 3 are not as good as years past.
That said, he'll get his raise and xtend imo and next year, we'll be fortunate to make the nit unless we bring in unbelievable talent through the portal.
Not very likely you'll bring in the best 3pt shooter in the acc and arguably the best defensive forward in the acc through transfer often, if ever again.

I feel like we’re in the same exact page. Completely agree on the Nett handling as well. I understood the Duke rage, he’s a better man for me for not lashing out. He will get a raise, but I still think we could do better.

I still see posts by people acting like we are a bubble team, or need to win out or win an ACC Tournament game to get into the NCAA Tournament.
For a program that hasn’t been to very many NCAA Tournaments in its history, it should be exciting for our fans to see that we are comfortably in. This is especially true for those of you who like to harp on how the goal is to make the NCAA Tournament.

to win multiple games IN the NCAA Tournament. We need to set the bar higher for ourselves. Obviously, we haven't come close to making the Tourney most years, but to me, making it every year and going one and done would be just as bad as not making it at all. You would have the same total amount of wins either way.

Judge, this isn't exactly breaking news. We were a lock after the ga tech game. We could have lost our remaining games and we were still in. Maybe dropped to a 11 seed but we were in. It was widely reported that after we beat fsu, we were a lock for a single digit seed.

I enjoy following college basketball, especially Clemson basketball, and this is an exciting time of year with bracketology.

I went back to see what he was saying last season when we were OUT and NC State got in, despite us beating NC State 3 times. And, well, he said we were out on Feb. 24, 2023 and Feb. 28, 2023. As much as I don't like his opinion on our 2023 NCAA Tournament chances, he was correct. So until proven otherwise, this guy is batting .1000 and I'm rolling with "Clemson is a LOCK!"

I think it was all but 3 of the 100+ brackets on bracket matrix had us out last year. It wasn’t a surprise which is why it was ridiculous for Brownell and Neff to pretend otherwise.

I think Brownell's done a good job explaining his position on the NET and how it is being manipulated. The result of the manipulation is that better teams get left out of the tournament in favor of weaker teams that did a really bang up job scheduling teams that gave them an opportunity to exploit some of the NET metrics (like offensive efficiency).
And, if I'm being honest here, Brownell was meek in his protesting. I would've burned down the NCAA HQ.

The offensive efficiency metric is used relative only to the score differential amongst same quad teams. Beating a quad 4 team by 30 points yields no benefit if every other quad 1 team beats them by the same amount.

We all are aware, yes Clemson is a lock.
Credit to Brad for getting done what needed to be done. A harder and more rewarding non conference schedule, and he won most of it.
Basically he’s accomplishing something he’s done 3 times before. He’ll be 4 for 13 (making the tournament). Apparently this would be Judge Kepler’s national championship.
We’re good enough to make a deep run in tournament, I don’t want to undermine the potential of this team with Girard now really heating up.
