He is not moving right, his show is. And honestly, I am glad that more of you are watching him. But the reality is, he has been critical of both sides his entire career, it is just now that some of you are seeing this. If he were to drop the coastal elitist smirk, and stop making jokes at the expense of flyover states, he could probably get an even bigger audience. But until recently, I never got the impression he was interested in audience size.

didn't realize that was a left/right thing. In that video, he does favorably compare Biden to FDR so not sure that's really a good sign he's moving to the right.
I think it's more likely the 65-year-old Maher had a recent run-in with some teenagers (or his writers?) and wanted to vent on his show.

taking into consideration a candidate’s age when voting for President. When a man is 78 years old and asking for my vote to be leader of the free world, age will be a factor. The POTUS must have the mental acuity to assess the right people to surround himself, he must assess policy, deal with and anticipate significant and competing agendas, foreign and domestic. Call it again if you want but to perform the duties of POTUS, you need a lot of mental toughness and stamina. And when you add the pure age to Biden’s horrendous performance of stumbling over words, forgetting people, forgetting quotes, not enthusiastically campaigning and being shielded by the media...well, I don’t think it’s a character flaw that those things all contributed to a “no” vote for Biden.
I respect the wisdom of my elders and happily sit with my wife’s 99 year old grandfather to hear his thoughts on things while he sits on the couch. Being POTUS isn’t sitting on the couch doling out wisdom.
