I've seen every type of person in there and never even a hint of any kind of trouble. They'll accept you the first time you walk through the door. What they've built there is pretty unique.

I'll be back. Can't believe it took me 15 years to finally go there. It's got kind of a Honky Tonk feel. Very cool.

The Beaver doesn't even have stale popcorn and pretzels on the bar. It's ALL bar. It's hard to explain until you actually walk into the place...there are great dive bars, and then there's the Thirsty Beaver.

They used to sell a lot of Schlitz back when it was available. They had it long after grocery stores quit carrying it. There weren't but a few places in Charlotte that carried Schlitz in the last 15 years but the Beaver was a stalwart!
