I'll never understand this. Clemson isn't going to head-to-head with McNeese State. They are going head-to-head with Duke, UNC, Uva, scar, etc. When a team makes a deep run in the NCAAT, it doesn't mean that their program is better or has better facilities or better coaching. If so, does that mean FAU is one of the best programs in the country (their coach seems really good though)? They went to a recent Final Four. Not to mention, the NCAAT format is terrible for determining a champion. The format generates revenue, which is all the NCAA cares about.
GIANT DISCLAIMER I think Clemson's season has been seriously tarnished with the finish. Losing to ND or BC is explainable; however, losing to ND and getting destroyed by BC is unacceptable. Clemson winning the NCAAT wouldn't change my opinion on the NCAAT. I would be happy, but the format is still terrible.
