No, no, no, no.
I was all for yanking down the rebel flag from the state house. For all the "heritage" talk it was as inciting as a Swastika and simply did not belong up there, not in modern America.
But insisting that historical figures be perfect is the worst kind of revisionist idiocy. We start retroactively yanking the names off every building every time we decide that somebody from 100 or 200 years ago didn't share all our values and virtues, nothing is going to be left with a name left on it.

I agreed with taking the flag down from the top of the state house, but I was against taking it down from the soldiers memorial. The two are quite different, in my mind anyway.

These people are typical spoiled Americans that have no perspective or real problems in life. They don't understand what it's like to fear an oppressive government, to see homeless, diseases children begging in the streets, civil wars that destroy the basic necessaries of life, rape being committed by the very people sent to help you, socialist leaders that have destroyed the economy to the point that people are eating the stray dogs. They need to go to third world countries and see cities made of cardboard, tin and palettes. They actually think that changing the name of a building makes the world a better place. Who are the parents? Whoever you are, you have failed...

You are aware the Tillman Hall is not the original name of the building, it was Old Main until 1946. Nothing wrong with calling it what it was originally named.
