It's a solid 8/10 or maybe a touch higher. It has a thick rich texture. And by texture I mean it isn't watery, but smooth. Kind of like drinking Propel versus water. Viscosity is thicker I guess would be the word. It's a tad sweet but not too bad, and that's offset by some nice oak oak flavors. This is one I wouldn't mix but drink straight.
Found a new liquor store nearby in the hood (literally). Now lady who runs it actually RUNS it. She talks every time to me about bourbon. The store doesn't have the greatest selection but she sells cheap stuff in bulk and then gets more allocated stuff based on that volume. And she actually asks people what they like that's allocated.
You won't be blown away by a huge treasure trove of rare allocated stuff. But every time I go in there she has 4-5 bottles of rare stuff that's usually very good. Best part is she doesn't jack up prices. Paid $40 for Eagle Rare last time she called. She actually has a call list for certain bourbons. And she actually calls you to let you know your bottle is in. Most places refuse to do this.

Up until sometime last year the liquor store in KY near our lake place had it for $32/bottle. I would usually get a few at a time.
If you like that, here’s a really similar flavor profile for under $30. The 8 year is just a bargain right now.
