The reality is every program has a "culture"...
It might not necessarily be a good culture though...
It's become increasingly apparent what the culture is at UGA....
No program is perfect...but anyone that can't spot a trend here isn't paying attention...

Clemson did go through some of these same issues under Danny Ford. But the difference is Clemson football and the players were punished when these issues were brought to light.

REMEMBER, Richt refused to sign his last contract because the admin wanted say so in discipline issues ?? They wanted a Kirby !!! POS program, no Dawg homer lurker can argue with that.

I blame the administration. I have known Kirby since we played together in GA Fla High School all star game together. He has always been, well, Kirby. Admin knew what they were hiring.

Florida has a great academic reputation. When Urban was there, he tolerated all types of misbehavior from his team in order to win. He made a mockery of Florida's academic reputation and it is only just recovering. If I were an UGa grad, I would ask the president to step in before it is too late.

All the thuggish acts at UGA didn't just start when Smart became their HC, it's been there for as long as I can remember back that far. The thuggish act of violet's runs through their fan base also, have any of you ever been to a UGA-Clemson game in Athens. I'll be totally honest, up until I reached my 30's, I was a diehard rough neck that would fight at the drop of the hat, and it didn't take to much to get me swinging especially if I figured I had as good a chance as winning as I did losing. But the only Clemson-UGA game that I went to, I started feeling toward the end of the game that my lady friend and I would be lucky if we got out of there without being ganged up on.
From the time we started to leave the stadium, we were followed all the way to my truck by 4 red necks that threaten us every step of the way, and the only reason they didn't attack was bc they wasn't sure if I had my hand on a weapon in my coat pocket or if I was just bluffing, but it would have been a sad night for us all if they had attacked us bc, my right hand was gripping a 5 shot 22 magnum Black Widow Derringer, and I fully intended to shoot whoever swung on us before we could get the h&ll out of there. That night I was so glad that I was able to get back to my vehicle without something very bad happening, and to this day I've never been back to Athens Georgia. I didn't lose anything the only time I was there in 1977 and we won the game by one point in a 7-6 game, so there's absolutely nothing IMO that could get me back there. It was the only place that I've ever been that I seriously felt that I come very close to losing my life or my freedom, and I have Zero desire of ever going back.
My personal advice to any Clemson fan that wants to attend a game in Athens is this, do yourself a favor and stay away from any Clemson games that will be in Athens bc, the risk is really high of getting into something that you really didn't ask for other than being there to watch Clemson and UGA play a game, and that's all the reason they need to make sure you have a miserable time while there....

First, you deflected then projected, which is another manipulative tactic to attempt to discredit a fact, (UGA is thug-U and their sycophant fans turn blind eye in exchange for the wins). You spend a lot of time here defending UGA, but I've never seen a genuine ownership of what the world knows, which is that UGA is riddled with this kind of character. Adam Anderson was kicked off the team and unless I'm mistaken, indicted on sexual assault charges. As far as I know he has not yet gone to trial. What more do you want Kirby to do about Anderson? If Anderson is guilty he should go to prison.
As for the Jarrett guy, the article says he was questioned about a sexual assault. According to 247, Clemson also offered the guy, presumably after the age of 16 and after this incident would have been known by Clemson coaches and recruiters.
With that said, what's your opinion on taking a loaded firearm into a college football game?

You think it's likely that UGA had acces to information Clemson didn't? That's not possble given that Clemson only recruits and signs players of highest moral virtue. (I know that because I read it here a lot.) Or, do you think it's possible everyone had access to the allegation but didn't think there was any merit to it?

What I think is possible and quite likely is an offer was made before knowing about this. Once our staff became aware, he no longer had a committable offer. Something that your program wouldn't do, because you have no morals. But you already know that.

I try not to make any of this personal. Except for a couple of people - Bloodbe - something or other, who seems pretty much offended at my mere existence and obsessed with me in a way that is somewhere between flattering and alarming, and Morbidtiger, who seems deranged in an entirely different way, I manage to exchange opinions with people here without calling them names.
I understand why Clemson fans don't care for UGA. Those reasons are largely based on football history and not on fan behavior. I know that because any team that has recently beaten Clemson; SC, LSU, Ohio State, NC State, etc., gets reduced to "trash fan bases." Lose on the field - call the fans names.
I've tried to address the two issues in the article or at least what I could see in the tweet. Anderson is going to trial. If he's found guilty he should go to jail. Don't know the story about the other guy, Jarrett. I did see on 247 where Clemson offerred him. No one likes the stuff coming out of Athens. "No one" should include other fan bases. It's a sad state to see these young men engaging so wrecklessly. I'd think everyone would agree to that. However, taking a gun into a football game is off the charts wreckless. That is also something I think everyone would agree on. I don't think this gun issue has anything at all to do with Clemson as a school or fooball program. It's about one individual.
I don't recall your personel issue you referenced. Whatever it may have been, I do hope it has been resolved to your benefit.

I hate to tell you man but it's based on personal treatment by fans of said schools. Are our fans angels that dont make poor decisions? Heck no! I've almost come to blows with an idiot from my own fan base... ONCE! Through 40+ years though! One encounter. The fan bases you mentioned though have much higher percentages of bad encounters with fans of other schools. Not just Clemson. Look, I had an uncle (by marriage) die this year that was a Dog and that man was as good a man as you could ever know. But I have way more relatives that have had terrifying experiences with Georgia fans in Athens, even in losses! Now why that is? I don't know, there is something to it though. I might argue culture...

I’ll tell ya that you’d have to be crazy to go to Athens as an opposing fan without one, which is why in all the years I lived in Georgia and went all over to Clemson games, never went to Athens. Every person I knew that did, regretted it because of the way your classless trash fanbase treated them. It’s the absolute worst environment for opposing fans in all sports in the US in my opinion. And anyone that goes there and pulls for that trash, redneck of an organization, can kiss my ####### ###. This includes you.
You come to Clemson and your worst problem would be a full belly from all the hospitality, food and beverage offered by Clemson fans.
The only times as a kid I ever felt threatened by the way, was at Clemson when Georgia fans visited. They were just as hostile on the road.

I totally understand him packing at a Georgia game.
I could even understand it at a U of SC game or an NC State game as well. Unfortunately, it is illegal to take a gun in the stadium, so I would not be packing. We had drunk Tennessee fans that wanted to fight AFTER they won the Orange Bowl in Miami last year, what idiots.
The NC State fans were killing each other at a pregame tailgate several years ago, on par with the coots. Auburn, Texas A&M, along with most ACC venues are great for visitors. Aggies have told me they wish they could play Clemson annually, rather than the coots, in Columbia. They know Clemson is a class act, and they want to be as well. Duke used to be the like a Clemson home game back in the 80's. I hope we have a huge Tiger crowd in Durham this year as well.

Same here. I’ve been to 3 or 4 games there and the 2014 game was the last straw for me. Similar experience to what Allorange52 described, but I wasn’t packing. My daughter was the Tiger Cub mascot at that game and her experience left her feeling the same way. Not so much on the field in the suit, but entering and exiting the stadium in street clothes.

this story. My roommate and I went down there in '75? We lost but it was not pretty and lucky we only got beer thrown on us. Then, when they came to Clemson I got challenge to a fight downtown AND in the stadium...before the game. I'm certain none of the dogturds I dealt with were ever students much less graduates. However, they have THE WORST fanbase I have ever been around.

This type of behavior will come to light eventually. Something so terrible will happen that it cant be brushed under the rug and Kirby will be toast. Not sure when but that is the most likely outcome.

And especially the FEMALE fans? This goes beyond physical rape, it is blatant disregard for women.
To team up like that to protect their own in a court is a blatant disregard for the law.
Where is UGA leadership?
No national championship is worth this.
