The World is depending on the F35 to defend it.
This plane first flew nearly 20 years back and first entered service in 2015.
Over 1000 have been built.

Many NATO countries have bought them, also many of ours are stationed in countries around the world.
It is not really an air to air combatant like The Red Barron used, more of an air to surface plane. The deal is electronics, all the planes converse not just each other but to all friends on the battle field.

-- Maximum speed: Mach 1.6 at high altitude, 806 mph at low altitude. That is fast as hell.
-- Range is 1500 miles, so very good, air fuel units are around the world so it can go a lot father and return home.
-- Service ceiling: 50,000 ft, so to high to see or hit for most.
Much is above Top Secret so what it can really do is unknown.

Many variation of this plane have been made to serve on fronts and do different things.
Israel often uses it to strike in Lebanon and Syria from afar, never crossing their borders.

This is on my mind today as just read F35 now is adjusted and approved to carry the B61-12 Nuke.
I was Nuclear Soldier so have had interest in nukes over the years.

The B61 bomb was first built in 1968, 3,155 have been built. The B61-12 is the 12th variation of it.

It is a gravity bomb which means no propulsion. It is not like the gravity bombs dropped on Japan as it is accurate. The Mod 12 is accurate to 100 yards which is close enough for a NUKE.
The B61-12 is a 12-foot-long, 825-pound bomb of 50 kiloton.

For yall in Rio Linda let me put that in perspective.
- Fat Man was 10,300 pounds 21 Kt over Nagasaki
- Little Boy was 9,700 pounds 17 Kt over Hiroshima
- B61-12 is 825 pounds 50Kt

There is a lot more to these bombs than kiloton, but you get the picture.

It’s a metaphor for all the bombs Cade will be throwing this fall given our improved OL and healthy, refurbished receiving corps.
