whilst all of us oldtimers lament the loss of traditions and the chaos that reigns, makes me think CFB is where Nascar was in the 90's. Super popular so lets change to bring in the new fans, only to have the fad fade later and now you've run off your die-hards.
I'll actually look forward to when it has to go back to old rules and old ways because the money that was promised just isn't there.

I think they are just happy that no southern teams are in the championship game, and thats ok with me. the south will always dominate college football, but it is good to have some different flavor every once in awhile

What traditions have been lost? Where is there chaos? When have you seen 2 better games than our game with Kentucky and the Michigan-Alabama? Football is football when the ball is placed on the tee and that is how everyone should look at it and tune out all the noise.

An entire conference is disappearing, century old rivalries have been dissolved, coaches AND players are now coming and going, millions of $$$$ are being exchanged weekly like it was monopoly $$$$...but, no traditions have been lost and there is no chaos. Brilliant.

I think you hit the nail on the head with that analogy. Time will tell, but it feels like CFB popularity is fading. Bad ideas by stupid/greedy people are driving the agenda.

I think the old rules and old days have slipped by us. Will never be what it was. Nascar used to have primetime slots on TV, now you have to look for it. I used to watch buy havent in years. Same is coming with college football.
