Not listed in the box score, and a whopping 13 tackles on the season.Looks like the can’t miss 5 star was a miss.

A lot of it has to do with development and the USC defensive staff is not the best for that.

Very interesting because he actually committed to us for a week from my recollection. Maybe it is injury related.

Sometimes 5* recruits turn out to be busts.

J.T. Daniels … 5* QB signed with USC. He’s changed locations as if he’s running from the IRS.

ZAch Pickens with S.Caroline … 5* DT signed with S.Carolina. Remarkedly mediocre until this year. OK this year, but nothing special.

Hunter Johnson (us and others) … hardly ever sniffed the field despite playing for 3 different teams.

There are bunches of 5* busts out there; blaming their poor performance simply on poor coaching is seldom accurate.

Yep. The change from HS to college is HUGE. Some guys look great in HS and get the hype then never get up to speed in college.

Most 5 stars never become stars. Sure they are statically more likely to do so than anyone else, but doesn't change the fact most of them don't really ever pan out. Football is a lot harder to project than basketball.

I am not going to lie though the kid just seemed unstoppable. Was a beast at camps, but that is what you get when you put all that stock on players camp performances.
