Another post got me thinking. Schools that are relying on the portal to build their teams and compete for championships have to be the ones that interfere the most with other school's rosters.
We already know that Kiffen is a sleaze ball, but what does that say about Novell and Sanders?
The more I think about it, I am happy FSU missed the championship and imploded. I wish that would happen to Ole Miss, but I fear the opposite.
Dabo really is a fish out of water in this corrupt environment, and it sucks. Nice guys truly finish last. I saw that we are at the top of the list academically, and UGA is at the bottom. If I were a good parent, I would want my child to play for Dabo. Unfortunately, the parents of top athletes care less about academics and more about the NIL and NFL. But I get that too; some of these kids'familes are in dire financial trouble.
The bottom line is that this system is broken. Until major dollars are lost by someone, I doubt this gets fixed.

I can say with a ton of confidence that Deion Sanders is a sleaze ball along with Kiffin ....only difference is at least Kiffin knows how to coach football

BTW, my stepbrother is a huge Florida fan. He is convinced that Sanders would be a successful coach there. He hates Napier, too.

While I agree with most of your posts, I disagree with this one. I know neither of the coaches you mention personally, but I don't see anything wrong with the way kiffin runs his program. He's been perhaps Dabo's biggest supporter. And really don't think for a moment that he's tampering with players. I don't think Norvell is either. Not sure about prime.
If Lane was doing something illegal, I think he'd be recruiting better. Nothing wrong with using the portal.

But some of these staffs are interfering, and that's a fact. Does it stand to reason that the ones taking the most portal guys are doing the most interfering?
Kiffin might support Dabo, but I don't believe he is a stand-up guy. Just ask Tennessee fans or Saban.
But again, this is all pure speculation.

Tampering is going on by everyone. It is basically a new way of recruiting. Unfortunately, we are not winning these battles due to lack of funds and quite honestly probably not promising starting positions. If we brought in a WR, would he beat out anyone on the current roster? It is questionable depending on how the current guys improve and the impact of the freshman.
It is truly silly that CFB has no way to self govern itself. Why the AD’s and presidents have not sat down and come up with a more sustainable system is beyond me. The portal rules are making it such a challenge to manage a roster. Hard to recruit as you do not know who will be here. Signing over the numbers is almost a must do at this point.

Somehow, I really doubt it.

Throw the coots in that group. Beamer has to rely on the portal because he has so many leaving each year. The end of this season's debacle will see a record number of transfers out of cootville.

Until rules change its not tampering. So, don't blame the Coaches. Blame the folks who run the Show. NCAA.

Coach Norvell, Coach Sanders, and Coach Kiffin walk into a bar. The bartender, recognizing them, says, "Let me guess, a special drink for each of you based on your teams?" Coach Norvell asks for something strong and resilient, like his players. Coach Sanders wants something with a lot of flair and style. Coach Kiffin requests a surprise, something unexpected. The bartender nods, mixes their drinks, and says, "Here you go, but be careful, these drinks are like your seasons - they start strong, but you never know how they'll end!"

Long term it will be difficult for Clemson to compete unless the system changes. I doubt Clemson has the will or money to win at all costs. I am afraid if Clemson does not win on field, transfers will become more likely and recruiting HS more difficult.

You’re missing a very obvious one. Notre Dame has identified the last two QBs they wanted and the reports came out before those guys ever hit the portal.

Coaches and their staffs do not have to tamper at Ole Miss, FSU or Colorado. Listen up guys there are agents, relatives, other players, high school coaches "go betweens" working deals for larger schools before top tier players enter the portal. By the time they enter it is a walk over or a choice btw equal schools based on NIL packages in most cases. You guys are driving yourselves crazy over thinking the transfer portal.
Clemson can choose to ante up for top talent or keep doing what we are doing. I do believe we are edging closer based on our efforts this year. We are being very selective as we should be and looking for players with at least three years of eligibility remaining.
