WOuld have loved to see you be healthy more but being plagued by injuries is beyond your control. There are other factors I potentially see-new WR coming in, etc. I understand your decision and pray for your success as you go to forward--unless you go visit Gamecocks!

It'd be nice to have him for the bowl but with the other WR's returning and two reported studs on their way, it makes sense for a west coaster to find a new home his final year.

It just goes to show, you can’t count on these recruiting rankings out of high school. I hope the new WRs come in ready for action, but we all know there’s a chance they might redshirt or just not be good (can’t run, can’t change direction, can’t fight for the ball, can’t catch).

The portal is a way to grab a guy from a smaller school or program who has excelled. Yes, those are hard to find too.

I don’t think anyone thought he was going to be a bonafide stud. We all hoped he would develop into a solid player. One that was consistent and good for about 800 yards. Turns out he was inconsistent. He was okay at times but not a jump ball guy and not great at getting separation.

The two guys coming in appear to be day one contributors. But you are right in that we can’t count on rankings.

We certainly thought he was gonna be a stud. #4 WR /Top 50 recruit overall at 6'4. We offered Decari bc we thought Beaux would be another Mike Williams for us. In all honesty we don't throw deep enough anymore for a player like Beaux to have 1000yds/10tds. We better figure out our passing game quick or Wesco won't be happy either. Go Tigers!!!

It isn’t surprising but indeed disappointing.

I’m not surprised because our offense, out of necessity for reasons related to the quality of our WR corps, is dominated by the run game. Out of necessity, Air Raid has become Dirt Raid. The ‘hybrid’ aspect of the two, which was touted widely before end of Spring practice, simply wasn’t anything special from the ‘Air’ aspect. Our personnel on offense simply isn’t suited for a consistently effective deep passing attack; this is not because of limitations from either our OL or our WRs.

B.Collins has one more year to rack up big WR numbers. If indeed our two incoming highly touted WRs are superb from the get-go, then that is yet another risk factor that B.Collins does not want to add to his current concerns.

We will miss B.Collins next year. It is not common that incoming FR WR’s possess both the physical attributes + superb ball skills a la A.Williams, T.Brown, D.Hopkins, S.Watkins, M.Williams, A.Rodgers, and T.Higgins types. B.Collins eventually developed his pass catching skills to elevate himself into a legitimate threat. He already had the physical attributes to be a very good WR.

Too bad that we are losing him, but I’m not surprised. My new biggest concern is about signing both of our committed WR recruits.

GR’s offense at TCU was called “Dirt Raid” last year because it was predicated on the run, mainly by their QB Max Duggan, a Heisman finalist now with the LA Chargers. The QB run game was conspicuously absent from our O this year so Tigers couldn’t really execute GR’s system effectively. That may have been for concerns about Cade being injured and no competent backup available. Maybe next year if CK gets bigger/stronger/faster & GR can cut loose. In the meantime he’ll be looking to recruit a more compatible QB.

Let’s do that. Let’s ignore 1/8 of the country in our recruiting. And while we’re at it, let’s ignore Rhode Island, Connecticut, Minnesota, Washington DC, the state of Washington and other non-traditional areas where we’ve made offers or have commitments. And since the jury is still out on Texas let’s ignore them too. Notre Dame, Alabama, Oregon, etc can have those guys. And we should just assume recruits from Florida, Georgia, Ohio, and North Carolina are spoken for. Let’s put our high-priced recruiting staff focused on Pickens County and backfill from Anderson and Greenville.

This one surprised me. It's not a pt, stuck behind in rotation type of thing. Maybe he's not satisfied with the number of targets? Doesn't like our scheme, Cade, money? Idk.

TV programming for CFB is not nearly as woks & politicized as the NFL game. NBA is unwatchable. MLB’s wokeness has also dimmed the ‘recreational diversion’ value of that sport.

CFB isn’t as bad as the above former go-to sports recreational diversion options. College men’s basketball is OK, but simply doesn’t interest me as much as FB does, or that baseball used to do.

By default, CFB remains as my favorite spectator sport. NIL or no NIL.

The NFL is the best football you can watch. NFL ratings are the highest ever this year. I have season tickets to both the Cleveland Browns and the Clemson Tigers and have not missed game for both in years. To be honest the NFL games are by far more interesting and exciting. The schedule is not made 50% of cream puffs like the non conference College games. That is my 2 cents!!!!

You're not the only one by a long shot.
I used to watch CFB pretty-much all day on Saturday. Clemson games plus other games around the country. Now, it's getting to me where CBB is - in my opinion. Which is to me: "AGAIN, MY OPINION" a lot less interesting due to the one and done business. I would much rather watch that collection of the best players that have assembled at the next level.

People use to say about CFB that the players weren't playing "for the money unlike the pros"! I always just shook my head at that notion.
A person is naive or blatantly not being observant of what's going on in CFB. Poor Wake = they loose a QB to Georgia(who never panned out there, still left Wake with a hole after they developed them). Sam Hartman does it to them again a year or two later. The NCSU QB is another example. Did he do it to increase his draft grade? Nah! The scouts already had him on their radar.

I understand the Duke QB leaving because his HC is leaving who he committed to play for. Great. That is the portal working.

All that said - - Thank you Beaux Collins for your time on campus! Keep doing work and good luck!

A.Randall’s importance to us has jumped dramatically. I believe that if his route running improves some more … and if he can ever manage to remain free of serious injuries (messed up hand(s) are a serious injury for a WR) … then he’ll be the only experienced big(ger) bodied WR that has the potential to make an impact. I wonder if it is just a matter of wanting to be closer to home? I generally don't like the statement if he is unhappy at Clemson and then bloviates about how wonderful they all are. You like the place or you don't. Fess up. It just seems like nobody is clear in their statements anymore. He could say, "Hey, I love Clemson, but I am a West Coaster at heart and feel like a fish out of water here." No one would have a problem with that. Or , "Hey, I saw the upcoming talent and I think my best opportunity to get to the next level will be on a squad where I look like superman every week because I am the only guy they can throw to." I might think the guy is a genius for doing that. In the end I hope it all works out for him.

Anybody know if he still dates Logoleo (softball player)? I heard that last year so I figured he’d stick around forever. Surprised at him leaving, but hope he can have great success somewhere.

Been average reciever... Great guy but never made it to next level of elite... I don't understand he will be transferring down. Don't they think coaches watch film?

Thank you Beau, love to you and your family, hope you heal completely and have a great career.

Somebody already offered a deal $, his folks are business savy. You can’t blame these kids that have their degree & can run after more money & another degree from another school.

....that turned out to be dependable, studs @ WR. None. 2022 is still in question. We did not do well.

However, bad evals, injuries, etc...happen to ALL teams. That's why sprinkling in here and there for unavoidable holes is smart. Holes WILL happen in today's environment....great culture is NOT solving that. A player like Beaux would've gotten squeezed out at a program like UGA or BAMA a long time ago. Yet, we treated him great.....and what did he do? He bailed despite Dabo & Co. living up to their end of the bargain. Better play the game as it is, rather than being frustrated at the new reality and staying stuck in the past. The GOOD thing is the DECISION has already been made to make changes. Its been frustratingly slow....but at least its finally happened. This was decided way before that phone call too. This should make everyone happy.

Sure, maybe some of the 2-3 transfers you get every year don't pan out, but that's already happening with the HS kids. Dabo has it 100% correct, HS kids should get the vast majority of schollys and we should be the model program for development. But as Gundy stated, if you are always replacing older kids leaving with true freshmen, you will always be a young team.

He couldn’t catch the ball well anyway, and he was always hurt which means he didn’t take care of his body which makes you injury prone.

Might be part of the reason Dabo has finally gotten serious about Clemson Football again.
