Been going to Death Valley since the 70s

That roughing the passer call was the worst call I have ever seen in Death Valley.
I went back and watched it wondering how they could possibly justify such a terrible call.
They can’t! Unless they have money on the game.
Trotter hits their QB while he is still in his wind up. Then drives him back. Then the ball comes out.
And the ball is not a spiral.
Because Trotter hit him while he STILL HAD THE BALL!!
I wondered if they would say he “drove him into the ground”
He didn’t.
We need refs to have the moral courage to overrule whichever ref is on the take.

Idk I think the late hit on Brinningstool was worse

Yeah, it was pretty sporadic all day. Could it have been a make-up call, idk. The hit on their qb in the first qtr could have been called... would have been in the pros. You just wish it'd be consistent.

Yep. The non- call

I agree with you. This first hands to the head was more

Egregious. It was a touch at worst.

The second call was at the end I believe. Trotter’s shoulder kind of made it look like he drove their QB in the ground. I didn’t think it was flagrant, but it looked like it could have drawn a call.

It was a bad call

Bad calls happen. Secret is, don't play teams so close that a bad call can influence the outcome. Clemson was superior to Wake in ever way talent wise, yet couldn't seem to get it done til late in the game. If you get a bad call that causes you to lose the game, it's your own fault. DON'T PLAY THESE GAMES SO CLOSE!

I mean yeah if it was FSU that's understandable. But not Weak Forest.

Well spoken! Plus 1 to u.

It’s honestly a sad state of affairs knowing that Wake came to Clemson’s homecoming and almost won. In a time when Clemson has a $10M head coach.

The point is officiating is the EQUALIZER to talent

As was said, all that the officials need to do is to just make sure that the Vegas SPREAD is NOT MET.

They place their bets, keep the game close, Clemson does not meet the spread and THEY WIN! EASY AS PIE!

unwritten rule, though I saw a holding call that was picked up...Not sure how you say you saw holding and another ref says you did not...

ALWAYS REMEMBER - ACC football officiating is a CRIME

Oct 7, 2023, 8:11 AM

…against humanity and ALL that is decent and moral.

EVERY SINGLE ACC Football official and the chain gang SHOULD BE FIRED IMMEDIATELY with a NO-REHIRE flag on their records.

EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM!!
