Assuming PJ Hall does not come back, this departure means 25% of our roster is choosing not to return. I'm not sure if any team has had this type of attrition before. To put it in perspective, this would be like Clemson Football having over 30 eligible players decide not to return, in one season.
Can anyone explain what is going on here?

I read that the Men's Tournament viewership was up 3% of last year. Perhaps the hand-wringing on the new NCAA world is just "Old Man yells at Cloud." Athletes having an affection for their schools...maybe that was always a mirage, but it's a lot harder to convince one's self that players love one's school. Some good recruiting classes and an E8 appearance should garner optimism and hope that BB is set to build and continue his success, but does it? Bench players use it as an audition tape...tampering is rampant...NIL deals are clearly recruiting packages. Does anyone get really excited about good recruit? I mean, it beats NOT getting a good recruit, but does anyone assume they'll be a four year player?

Yeah. Just to put it into perspective, here's Clemson compared to the rest of the schools in the ACC in terms of number of players from each team that have entered the portal:

You hate to lose players regardless, but if you look at these numbers and think about the current college sports environment realistically, you're probably never going to be able to keep everybody from leaving no matter what happens. So what you have to try to do instead is just minimize the departures as much as possible. And when you look at this comparison, I think Clemson is actually in a very good spot when you consider what seems to be typical throughout the conference.

Please tell me where I said 30%, or 3 of 13, anywhere in that post.
We have 3 players who have entered the portal (Godfrey, Beadle, Clark). If PJ does not come back that is a total of 4 players who are "choosing" not to return. We have 16 players on our roster. 4 is 25% of 16, exactly what I posted. It was very clear.
