Well we had that announcer named Tony Castricone doing basketball after Yannity for a while and Don was doing football. I thought he would get the entire job eventually. Tony is now the Director of Broadcasting and Voice for the Washington Huskies. He is really good.

I thought Yannity was offered the job full time but he didn't want to leave his full time sports director and anchor gig at WSPA-TV which he has held for a long time.

I know most of yall will disagree with this and that’s ok, but I honestly don’t think Munson is a terrible announcer. He’s got some quirks but it’s tolerable. Idk maybe I haven’t listened enough but that’s just my opinion. His calls on the baseball game today were pretty bad though I will say

I’ve listened to Tony call UW football games a couple times , you have to be a blind deaf mute to let him get away and keep Munson instead. Don should be ashamed for holding whatever compromising pics he has of Dabo over his head.
Let Don be the official voice of softball or gymnastics or rowing. Just hire a competent speaker who doesn’t trip over his words consistently for the important sports . He is somehow worse at baseball than football which makes zero sense as it’s a much slower pace sport. I get it’s probably tougher to do play by play than I understand, but if it’s what u do for a living u should be good at it

Yea I have honestly never had no issue with the guy. Maybe I have gotten used to him. I choose to mute the television announcers and listen to radio while watching. Current tv announcers minus like 5 or 6 are more than I can handle personally.

(or "dislike" may be more accurate) on here is baffling to me. "Insufferable"? Really? I've listened to some basketball and baseball games recently, and guess I never had my critic's hat on. I mean, he's just an announcer, a voice on the radio. I get it, some are better than others; I know I still miss Jim Phillips, but the fact that Munson is now the guy doesn't frustrate or anger me, and I appreciate that he's a solid Clemson fan.

I agree. IF you really know and understand the game why do you need an announcer to tell you what you are seeing on the field???
There are some announcer who make the game even more desirable but I can enjoy a game without them. Dizzy Dean and Buddy Blatner were unbelievably good baseball play by play guys but they didn’t tell me much I didn’t see on the field.
I for one am glad that games are made available today for us to see and enjoy.
As a youngster I had to sit on the back porch and hope that Mutual of Omaha radio would have a game for me to listen to in the afternoon.

I was driving yesterday for work listening on to the game on the radio. I didn't tune in till about the 4th inning and swear I had to listen for almost 30 minutes before he even said the score. That's just basic broadcasting 101. I almost gave up on the broadcast and just googled, Whats the score to Clemson baseball game.
