Auburn coach has just 2 guys rush with 4th and goal from 31 yard line with seconds remaining. QB had like 12 seconds to find someone which he did and 3 Auburn players standing nearby holding their privates. Unbelievable 0.1% chance for Alabama to win according to ESPN but they should take into account imbecile coaching

It wasn’t speed though. Milroe held the ball for an age and found a one on one jump ball.

I have no problem with the defender on that play. Where is the WR going to go at that point? It was a great throw by Milroe and a very strategic push-off by the WR.

wrong WR. He went inside instead of doubling outside. Auburn had a ton of defenders inside so that seemed like a bust or huge lapse of judgment.

rush 2. Rushing 2 meant the QB would have an infinite amount of time to find an open receiver.

Unless you are guarding someone of inferior talent/experience…like a five year old then you can’t cover them for fifteen seconds.
Also, according to Saban that was no backyard play, they actually practice that.
Idiot Auburn DC needs to be let go like some many other brainfart coaches this year after plays like that.

Auburn brought John Chavis in as DC to make the last call. He lost game after game for Tennessee that was, seemingly, in the bag. Had his DBacks play a ten yard cushion to let the opposing team march right down the field at the end to win. Happened a lot. He called it his infamous 'Mustang Package'. Yeah, that suited what happened. The opposition ran down the field on his defenses like they were a mustang. How is it fools never learn? Teams are going to have to protect their wins by having in the contract a prevent defense can only be implemented when we are ahead by three scores, thirty seconds or less on the clock and the opponent is inside his own five yard line.
