If the committee really thought the injury would crush FSU, they should have

Dropped them in the polls, very near immediately after the injury. But why didn't they? Because they didn't think they would need to, they thought they would lose regardless and things would take care of themselves. This is why they are corrupt. They are supposed to rank each week as things happen on the field, which they didn't, but claim that is what they did during the last poll. BS!

Yep. They went with their subjective opinions rather than with the evidence on the field.

The way I look at it, they had TWO options, both would be legitimate but for different reasons. After the injury, they could have moved FSU down to about 8th-9th in the polls reflecting the impact of losing their star QB. This would give them some credit when they later picked the Top 4 best teams.

OR-

They had to keep FSU in the Top 4 until they lost, which they never did, and should have stayed in the playoffs, this would have been the resume/earned option.

BUT THEY DID NEITHER. The played politics with the polls all year, and especially after the injury, which is when the lying really started ramping up.

And on top of that, we were supposed to believe that FSU's "final talent rating" falled somewhere in the super slim margin between Bama and UGA? So, FSU's QB situation put them on the spectrum as a 1.5 point favorite over UGA and a 1.5 point loser over Bama? We were told to believe that and told that making $150 million more was a conspiracy. RIGHTTTT.

Um it was actually impossible for them to use the ACC championship as the deciding factor knowing full well that QB2 was returning.

It was good enough play to beat Florida from the SEC the week after Florida lost by only 2 points on the road against #9 Missouri.

It’s nuts though how they can pick the parts that don’t make FSU look as great, and ignore the parts that don’t make Bama look great such as Bama needing a miracle to beat Auburn just a week after Auburn got destroyed by New Mexico State, or Bama scoring a whole 17 points against South Florida.

Maybe FSU would’ve gotten blown out had they made the CFP, but nobody knows for sure. What we do know for sure is that Bama couldn’t beat Texas at home, so why should they get the potential chance to try again on a neutral field over an unbeaten team? That unbeaten team also beat LSU by more points than Bama did. FSU beat LSU by 21 and led by as many as 28. Bama beat them by 14, led by only 7 going into the 4th, and actually trailed midway through the 3rd. Bama also played LSU at home while FSU destroyed LSU on a neutral field.

QB2 beat a "mighty SEC team", FSU's 2nd SEC win on the season.

Bunch of crying pansies on this board.

The committees mandate is to make subjective decisions.

The committee does not have an objective process (like the NFL) to select playoff participants and pairings. Why are FSU supporters acting like they were unaware of the subjective process that has been in place since 2012.

Do you wanna know why FSU did not drop in the rankings after north Alabama. Look at Rodemaker’s stats in the north Alabama game. Certainly competitive and capable.

Same thing with the game against the gators. He was not fabulous but very capable.

Then look at the third string QB stats versus Louisville. Not competitive. Not capable. Disaster.

Y’all are wasting your time asking why the committee did not drop FSU in the rankings as soon as Jordan Travis got hurt.

The committee made the right decision for college football.

Those crying foul for FSU are weak snowflakes victims enabling participation trophy gatherers.

Keep complaining and you’ll convince more FSU players to jump in the portal. FSU players are becoming victims so they’ll run to the portal.

Have some balls people, the committee got it, right.

Rodemaker will be back for the bowl game so it doesn’t really make sense to say FSU didn’t drop before due to him looking good, but they did drop due to the play of a QB who wouldn’t be starting in the CFP anyway.

Rodemaker plays well enough vs North Alabama and based the play on the field the committee does not drop FSU in the rankings.

Rodemaker plays well enough vs gators and based the play on the field the committee does not drop FSU in the rankings.

3rd string QB is non competitive vs Louisville and based the play on the field the committee drops FSU in the rankings.

Three items above or subjective decisions, based on play on the field.

Now you want the committee to predict which quarterback will play in the bowl game and how well they will play.

You guys have got yourselves all tied up in semantics.

FSU is not one of the best four teams in the nation. Period.

So FSU was still a top 4 team with their #2 QB, but they didn’t make the CFP because they aren’t a top 4 team with their #3 QB and the committee can’t predict if the #2 QB will be able to return from a concussion after a month off? That’s a weak argument and you very well know it.

And the week before Bama needed a miracle to beat a team who lost by 21 points to New Mexico State.

Also, the run Georgia was on was impressive, but with a focus on this season, who did Georgia beat that was so impressive? Georgia from the prior 2 seasons who have destroyed GT instead of beating them by only 8.
