The point is that the play clock ran for 5 seconds after they set the ball and blew the whistle. Never should have had a play there.

free time out was the bigger issue. If they would have had to hurry to the line and snap at the whistle instead of having s 5 minute timeout, then they wouldn't have even been able to get a play called.

It all worked out though.
