I would tend to believe that while

Gregg Marshall is in town, D-Rad will probably pull him aside and let him know this game is an official audition. It will be a good opportunity for the young, up and coming mid major coach to show a big time, multi national championship winning athletic director what he can do.
If Clemson wins this game, D-Rad will retain Brownell because he will have proven he can beat a Final Four coach. But if the Buttshockers win, no doubt we will see Gregg Marshall be the next Clemson men's varsity basketball head coach next year.

**please know that I am aware this is satirical - I'm just genuinely curious if there are people out there who think Gregg Marshall would leap at the opportunity to coach Clemson**

Of course he wouldn't be blown away.

He has a better gig at Wichita State. He makes a lot more money than Clemson pays, he has everything he wants from the administration, and he doesn't have to compete with/defer to football for everything.

I would actually be very excited about him coaching here.

But I have no delusion that Clemson would give him the money or support necessary to get him.

Any coach would be lucky to work at Clemson, including Gregg Marshall. Once he sees the renovated LJC and takes a moment to look over the recruits we have coming in, I bet he would take a pay cut to leave his little mid major school and finally get to coach in the big leagues.

Brownell should hire Marshall.

No AD would be foolish enough to fire a HC who hired Marshall as an assistant.

If we can get him to go down the slide I think he is all ours. He might have to come in as an assistant and get groomed by CBB for a few years, but I can see it haplpening. I like our chances.

"Buttshockers"
Does that mean they have the "two" facing the wrong direction?
