I would like to see Cade Klubnik behind an offensive line

that gives him more than 2 seconds to make a play. Our pass blocking must improve and it is impossible to judge a QB when he has pass rushers in his face before he can set his feet. When he has time in the pocket it seems he makes the proper reads and throws a catchable ball.

I completely agree with you. Hopefully Coach Luke will have somethings fixed next season. Give the kid 3-4 secs to throw the ball and I think he's a different QB.

Cade when he has time still has issues. He should get better with this year under his belt just like the underclassmen on the OL

Actually, Cade has two out of three things stacked against him on most plays.

First, and most pressing, is what you said about the lack of protection from the offensive line. You will have a very low pass completion percentage laying on your backside.

Second, and just as important, our receivers seem to lack the ability to get open, on just about every play. This goes back to wide receiver coaching, which is sorely lacking. Other teams seem to be able to have one or more receivers running free against OUR defense, but our guys seem to be attached to their defenders at the hip.

We desperately need a Nuk Hopkins course on getting a free release at the line of scrimmage, AND a Hunter Renfrow course on how to find the open spot in a zone and then QUIT RUNNING, and SIT THERE IN that open spot. It seems that it should be easy to coach, but must not be.

I sincerely hope our incoming freshman receivers have these missing qualities. Only a coaching change at Wide Receiver Coach could help them, or the ones already here, acquire that skillset if it is not already present.

:(
