I looked into Nancy State's football history.

I don't see much with which to be impressed. Consider:
-Their overall winning percentage is just .511 (597-571-55)
-They have only won 11 conference championships (4 in the SoCon, 7 in the ACC)
-Their last conference championship was in 1979
-They have only won 10 games or more in a season once (11-3 in 2002)
-Their best season in terms of final ranking was 1974, when they went 9-2-1 and finished 9th in the Coaches Poll and 11th in the AP Poll
-Since 1995, they have only finished in the top 25 three times (2002 #11, 2010 #25, and 2017 #23)
-They have an overall losing record against South Carolina (26-28-4)
Their football history is much worse than I thought it would be. They are living up to their Nancy State Wusspack reputation.

Their record vs Clemson is 28-57-1. We've handed them one tenth of their total losses.
They are 3rd behind USuC and Wake for most losses to Clemson.

Perspective... Duke has 7 Conference Titles, one of them is 10y more recent... and the hold the tie-breaker with at least one divisional title.
True, NC State tends to be better than Duke, they tend to beat Duke more often. The difference is that Duke does something with they are good despite being weaker overall. NC State can't capitalize when they are good and then royally stink it up when the are having a bad year (see 2013 with an 0-8 Nancy State and a 10-win Coastal Division Duke Champion)

Just one kid?
I thought he had about 10 by now.
Read somewhere that he and his wife were old fashioned, wanted a huge family, all by natural childbirth, every other year.
That's when i stopped hating him.
