It was really fun, but in thinking about the Titanic, I got the same feeling I get when I think about Clemson football lately: a grand endeavor on the verge of tragedy, due to a changing landscape, overconfidence, and poor decisions by leadership.
Joking aside, I think our football team will be fine. I don’t see a national championship this year. I don’t expect us to make the playoffs either, but we should be a top 10-15 team and have a very good year. We have some nice pieces, and I’m excited to see what Riley can do with our offense. Go Tigers!

I could be wrong. I think the problem is you’re not as creative and witty as you think you are. Reading your posts often feels like watching American Idol when that really bad singer just wails out a really bad rendition of a nickel back song. I think, why doesn’t someone in that person’s life pull them aside and just tell them the truth about their “talent”? You need to stop posting about Clemson football; that’s a fact and immutable.

Thumbs down to the Nickleback reference. Not sure how it got started that this would be the band to pick on by the masses. Do I like some of their songs? I can say I do like to turn up “if today was your last day” every once a blue moon. But yeah, can’t really say I go and request specific songs to stream.
Nevertheless, they’ve had staying power. Granted some could say they are the Long John Silvers of music. They are everywhere but no one admits to eating there. Maybe they are the pr0n of music these days - everyone is doing it but not admitting.
Nevertheless, a lazy comparison and for that a -1.

Thanks Your Honor. Everyone should realize that changing the OC and then having 15 practices does not make a football team especially when players are out. Patience is the order of the day.

Well, many left at halftime muttering that they had seen enough. They did in fact abandon ship. I stayed until the boat sunk with the pick six to put the icing on the cake of putrid WR display. Lot of holes in this Titanic but I will cling to the life boat and hope we can find a way to scratch out an ACC title. We are not UGA or even in that hemisphere.

The Clemson football team will spend more weeks ranked this season than Brownell’s collective basketball teams at all schools have been ranked all time. But we’re going to pay him $3 million this season. That’s a much better Titanic metaphor.

Judge, I gave you a thumbs up on this post. Though I often despise most of the thoughtless drivel you post, this was a clever post about the football program. I took it as a joke and in some ways I can identify with what you said. I wish you used that same thought about our basketball program.
