had more team speed than us at many positions. Their kickoff dude smoked our entire special team’s coverage. Their WR outran our defense backs and Kentucky had zero fear of our WR’s running past them. You can’t coach speed.. a player either has it or they don’t. This has to be a priority in future recruiting.

The return guy for Kentucky did smoke the return coverage team. Only thing was at least 3 of the return coverage team were either being held or tackled.

Speed ain’t everything… especially if you can’t hang onto the ball. Fundamentals count more and that includes attacking the ball.

Yes.. Wiggins was a blazing lockdown player and would’ve won most battles against that fast WR. That’s what we need for sure.

Wiggins and Brown will be 2 of the fastest players in the draft this year, they both ran 22.1, and 22.6 MPH respectively this year, which is elite in the NFL.

I disagree about them blowing by our defensive backs. If you are talking about that long reception in the first half he only got by us because he literally knocked down our DB, should have been offensive PI. Then the TD in the second half was a busted coverage. I think our DBs have plenty of speed.

Our fastest player was kicked back in his lazy-boy at home watching the game on TV, taking this opportunity to eat a box of Krispy Kremes to increase his weight ahead of the NFL draft.

We do have fast DB’s but Wiggins was elite. However at WR.. I’m hoping those two freshmen WR’s coming in have elite speed. We have got to improve there to have a explosive offense.
