I apologize to members of the board!!

Wow, what a tough opening stretch for our young Tigers!!

I will admit to being a pissy, whinny good for nothing sour loser after the game Saturday. In retrospect that was pathetic of me being so negative about shotgun sets and short yardage, deserved a tall glass of STHU!!

Now, as for the Tigers. Tons of young talent, especially on offense. These guys are playing very well against high caliber competition, interested to see how well they are able to do for remainder of season. FSU, Georgia with a cupcake in between is being thrown to the wolves, and our boys performed admirably. Some mistakes are going to happen, they have just been at some very inopportune times. Our defense should be very proud, what a performance this year. Taking away 1 quarter and the performance of Mr Gurley, and throw in a 74 yarder where Alexander lost his footing on Greene with FSU, and our D is probably #1 in the nation, especially considering our opponents!!

We may be 1-2, but dadgumit we are the best 1-2 team in the country, no questions about it.

Go Tigers, kick UNC tail!!

Now that's good stuff. I wonder if Sportsfan will ever find his way from the dark side.

Just keep in mind - it was execution, not coaching.

We have a young group of talented players that took the No. 1 team in the nation to the cleaners. FSU did not win that game, we lost it.

We have all of the parts in place for greatness and our coaching staff is recruiting superior players.

No other team has played two top 10 teams away from home in such incredibly hostile environments as our Tigers have, and we are only 3 games into the season.

Greatness is headed our way, and I would rather be part of a clean program than an embarrassment of a team like FSU with their "mildly" insane QB. My nephew asked me "Why does ABC keep showing that guy that is such a influence and such a horrible person? Do they want to win at all costs?".

I told him that winning is important, but it is HOW you win that is most important.

Our youth today have very few heroes to look up to; honor, integrity, trustworthiness - those characteristics are very hard to find today's youth. Clemson has some great men of character, starting with Coach Dabo Swinney and his staff, and filtering down to the type of players that we have and are recruiting.

The Deshaun Watson era is on the horizon, and I am so glad that he is a young man that possesses the "right stuff". HE is someone that my nephew can look up to as a role model, along with many, many other Clemson players and coaches.

It is unfortunate that we did not knock off the number one team in the country, squashing that team that represents everything we don't want to be. But the Tigers will prevail, just as goodness always does.

I look forward to always supporting our team - win or lose, and I am proud to be a Clemson man.
