OL or WRs: which has been the weakest group the last 3 yrs

I say WRs. Despite all the Austin hate, we have been able to run the ball solidly the last few years. Since Tee Higgins left, we really haven't had one difference making WR. Maybe Antonio, but he's only at Clemson because he fell into our lap. The coaches were asleep at the wheel with his recruitment.

Both.

Our WR haul from 18-21 was not good. 2022 is still largely unknown. Moore and Wesco are great prospects, and represent a change in strategy (thats all I'll say). Got to consistently pull in difference makers each year. Too many chances on developmental kids IMO......

OL, IMO will continue to be a problem as long as we carry only 15 in that room. Look at what our peers (BAMA, UGA, OSU) do...compare that to what we do-----see the difference in OL? We have actually improved in recruiting OL of late...but not NEARLY enough volume. ZERO excuse for CLEM not to have an ELITE OL room.

Are you saying that what makes them more successful is having more linemen on the roster to compete for the open spots or you think that having more means that they can rotate them in and out during games to keep them fresh? Or is it voth

OL is a very hard position to project. Seasoned OL coming out of HS are rare. Many never develop; many get injured. 15 is a very low number when you consider those things. Our peers carry, last I checked around ±18 or more. Pittman @ ARK, who was at UGA previously, like to carry ± 20 or more.

I'd say that wrs definitely declined the most. We used to be elite at wr.***

We should be elite at OL. No excuse really. Our program has the resources...

If you TRULY believe its built "from the inside out".......

so that's almost expected, but not having playmakers at WR has definitely hurt.

The OL is the worst because they effect the performance of everyone.

I agree 100%. WR has been worse in that they

Get worse the longer they’re here.

The OL was not all that bad tbh. We ran it pretty well and much of the pass pro was on the QB leaving the pocket when he shouldn’t and the RBs not picking up their assignment.

Don’t forget Amari Rodgers or Cornell Powell plus TE Allen.

I am not sure how one might objectively measure the two groups against each other, but I can say that our WR have fallen farther from where we used to be than our O-line has.
